I am guessing that you have never played competitive basketball anymore. The majority of basketball is MENTAL and when you have a coach who has been screwing with your head all season it is not easy to come out and play lights out. Ridiculous statement bro. You are a joke

@redfox5... can't wait for price to transfer? that is a pretty sick statement. Why? because he has not had a good SOPHOMORE season? he played well as a freshman and now he's struggling as a sophomore and you're ready to run him out. What a JOKE. He is still an underclassmen you know? Its funny how quick you change your mind on these players. Youre as bad as CM in that regard. I hope all the kids stay and if basketball doesnt work out atleast they can get their degree. He also referenced how Chuck destroyed his confidence, which I am sure you agree with. You are just annoyed redfox called you out yesterday. I think you are in agreement Chuck is a disaster, lets focus on that.

No I think he was referring to he will leave of his own accord because of his lack of playing time, lack of being coached, and basically because he probably doesn't trust Martin and his system - at least that is the way i read it. Martin gives up on the kids so easily and he obviously doesn't have the talent to COACH them

I hope all the kids stay and if basketball doesnt work out atleast they can get their degree. Price does NOT seem like he has any intention of improving his PG game. He plays a street ball run and gun style and does not get his team mates involved. That's probably not gonna work here. It's probably better for him and us if he moves to a different institution/level of basketball. He does not seem happy here anymore anyway. Maybe he can find a place to play and earn his degree and be happy at the same time. I'm sure CM screwed him up a bit BUT sometimes the student needs to respond as well. And I can change my mind regarding the quality of these guys whenever the fuck I want. I'm a paying season ticket holder and supporter for close to 20 years (no conference championships). I expect better quality from all involved. It's different for CM...he recruited and works with these guys intimately everyday. I would hope he would have more of a solid mind set on their talents. You understand everything I said above..any need for further clarification?

I am guessing that you have never played competitive basketball anymore. Neither has this team. Come on man. Acknowledge the obvious. This is going nowhere.

Price would be smart to leave because he is not going see anytime on the court at PG with Hall being a senior and Morton coming in with all of the hype. But I still think he is a good player and I am not judging him by his season because there are more extrinsic factors that go into playing the game. He is still a good player I just dont like when people on the board take shots at PLAYERS. It's one thing to take shots at the coach (I don't think CM is the guy for the job either) but the players are still KIDS in the grand scheme of things. Support the kids yankee I'm not sure if he "called me out" yesterday or not, I havent read the post. I just dont agree with what he said in regards to not "caring" if price transfers or not

Correct I believe CM messed with his confidence...I do think Price had not responded as well as he could though and it's just not working for him now. Life's hard sometimes and sometime you have to overcome some issues Never called this drd poster out that I can remember I know other have though.

What I wrote may have seemed harsh but did not intend it in that manner. I just think CM screwed him up and now it would be best for him and his game to play elswhere. What's happend to him at the hands of CM has hurt his game and it's hurting the team. He really has not looked good the last many number of games. I agree he has talent...he has a solid shot and very good athleticism... he really has not developed as a PG. Even in his limited PT it would be nice to see him try and get teammates involved more often. And to all...don't you think we use the "they're still kids" argument too much. In no way do I think they should be held to the same standard as pros but I was a sophomore at Marist not so long ago and I remember being faced with alot of new responsibilities regarding workload, time management, etc that I had to man up and figure out for my self. Professors don't always make it easy. We should probably cut these kids some slack at times but they are young adults and sometimes ya gotta just man up and rise above individuals and issues that may stand in your way.

I think a number of these kids have talent - I also think their college career is being ruined because they are not being properly coached, properly used, properly taught, or are playing in the best system for their skill sets. I also think that because they are young without a major change they will continue down this losing path - these kids probably have not lost as many games in the last two years as they have lost their entire basketball careers.

You are a joke Watch who you call a joke...bro. I understand it's very mental. I've said 1,000 times I agree CM screwed him up. I'd like to see him come out and prove CM wrong. He has not done that. He's proving him right actually. In a previous post you are right...I have changed my mind on the quality of some of these guys...I think we all have...you probably as well. There has not been enough consistency to really tell who is for real and who isn't other than with a few players. Now...I've watched close to 20 years of Marist bball very intently. You can usually tell a players worth over a half a season but this group has been the hardest to read...some of that has to do with the way CM has used them but also with the inconsistencies of the players themselves.

@redfox5 my bad for that statement. we're cool. I agree with what you said in regards to this not being the right situation for Price, I just felt like it wasn't appropriate being that the kid has gone through a lot this year and his game is suffering... Maybe his mental toughness is not where it should be. Whatever the case I know that the players read these boards form time to time and for him to see posters saying they cant wait until he transfers may screw him confidence up even more. You know how it goes..
There has not been much consistency at all with the players. But that is no surprise because there has not been ANY

There has not been much consistency at all with the players. But that is no surprise because there has not been ANY consistency with the coach. Sometimes they are a zone team sometimes they are man. Sometimes they are dribble drive sometimes they are not. Sometimes Rusin is the featured player sometime he doesnt get off the bench. Same with Prescott. Sometimes Bauer is counted on, next thing he is buried on the bench. Alexis, Johnson, Carter, Goodwin... I can go for days. You have to agree that this has been a disorganized year to say the least.
