"somebody's daughter"? I have a daughter and if someone bashes her for her play on the court so be it. They are women - they are DI college basketball players who earn a scholarship to go to college for FREE. If they aren't playing well then I don't care if it is a 50 year old man - they can call them out. If we watch players laugh at staff, talk back to coach - maybe we need to blame their parents for not raising them right, stop coddling them, stop telling them that everything that goes wrong is someone else's fault, that if things get tough no biggie just leave.

I got to believe we will call her - my non-bolding her was she just looks too much like a candidate for higher level. My primary physician is the team doctor for Coastal women's basketball. I have an appointment with him on the 25th, I will ask him if he knows what Aja might be looking for in a transfer, whether she wants to upgrade, or maybe just be closer to home. If he has any idea, especially if she just wants to be closer to home, I might try to put a bug in his ear if he has any further contact with her before she makes her decision to mention that the ladies could use her, and maybe if she would like to play in front of 1500 people at home games instead of 250......well.

Hey, maybe you could ask Coach to come down here when he retires and we could all hit the links, even if your son isn't going to be a Chanticleer.

That one just doesn't make sense to me. About to be a senior, respected by staff and teammates, bit of a down year statistically but could ccertainly bounce back when healthy.
I hope she changes her mind, personally.

Played basketball my whole life and a long time fan but I really needed to chime in for the first time. When this many players and this much productivity leave a team it can never been seen as a good thing. We cant kid ourselves by saying that now we have some scholarships to give so we are going to be tight. We lost so much of the team productivity and I am pretty sure more are going to leave. What happens if the next acquisitions in the portal ends up being as productive as the last (or lack there of). It takes years to get a motion team to gel to where they can play and we just lost a LOT of experience. We need to take a look at why they left. Why does everyone seem so unhappy that they had to leave, what is really going on? Dr Dunk

I totally agree with that. How is this going to look to the players that we are trying to get to replace the ones we lost? I am sure that the players are going to look and see all the players that left and ask “what happened with them?”. What is going to be the draw to try and get players to come here? Are the coaches going to say “hey come and play with us you will get some great playing time”. I can see that the portal is full of grad students and I just don’t know if they are going to want to risk that last year on a team that just fell apart. My kid actually played D1 and I would probably tell them to steer clear.
