I have no problem with that, she just finished her senior year, so she gave Coastal 4 good years. Wants to move up for her Covid year. 5'11" and built like a fireplug, you wouldn't think she was a basketball player if you saw her out of uniform, but she is basically unstoppable once she gets position on the low block, and can also knock down a fair amount of treys as well. Good luck Aja! Well she has re-entered portal - no more info. Wow, she was going to Tulane, wonder what happened?

I'm assuming she would have to sit out this year now?

With a player of that quality - who cares - get her in for 2023

Rutgers is so desperate for bodies they're advertising on campus for walk ons, and even sadder, taking transfers from Saint Peter's. Blount can go there tomorrow and start.
Speaking of SPU, they hired Frager's top recruiter and motion offense installer David Jollon. Probably more qualified for the head coach job than the SFC Brooklyn assistant they hired. She filled out her staff with her kid sister (honestly a terrific D2 baller like herself).

New WBB DBO is Keylantra Landrey. Should be a familiar name to some of us long timers. Marist recruited her in 2010 before eventually committing to St. John's. According to ESPN it came down to the Johnnies, Cincinnati , JMU and Marist. '22-'23 Coaching Staff

Jim Jabir is filling the "completely insane Siena basketball coach" void left by Jimmy Patsos. In the off-season he said they would lead the nation in turnovers (like, commit the most) and today he guarantees they will win championships, plural, "eventually."
Sounds like they will play Niagara and Manhattan style swarm ball and try to win games 46-43. I hate it here.

Maybe they will lead the nation in turnovers.

We are tied for 6th but I believe we'll finish in the top 4 if Piddock and Tompkins are as advertised and Krick plays like she did towards the end of the season.

I thought the placement was fair. Better than last year but need to prove some stuff for sure.

We’ve seen this movie before. They fixed the last great defection with Grace and Alana (two BCS level transfers) plus the Hands. They already have a pretty good proxy for the Hands in Zaria and Kiera. Get an impact transfer to play the wing (think Barcello skill set) with that last ‘23 ‘ship and they are probably a favorite next season.
I agree with Shooter. The selection by the coaches is fair. Let’s see what the freshman and Donnelly bring to the table and let the rebuild begin.

Yes, building towards the next championship window starts now. Q gets clobbered by graduation after this season, so does Fairfield a bit and Manhattan loses key pieces too.
Niagara is so dependent on the Parker sisters that they will return to the basement whenever they leave (Angel is a senior but if she doesn't do 5th year there next year I suspect Aaliyah will transfer.)

I said losing some of those players to transfer was a good thing ........... this was what I meant
“With the newcomers this year, it’s just so refreshing,” Giorgis said. “They all bring teamwork to the table. It’s not all about ‘I, I, I.’ We got rid of ‘I’ and brought in ‘we.’”
