Man, what a gut wrenching story. Thank God for people like Marquis' coach and SS teacher. Nice to really know that there are just honest to good people in this world! Can't help but root for this kid.

He is the reason these kids should get some money - there is no way he will be able attend a college on a full ride without getting money for food, gas, general living expenses, his family will not be able to support him - for these player not even being allowed to get a job is a joke. I played soccer and i had to sneak out and get a job at the YMCA just to make $60 every two weeks (thank god for those .25 cents drafts at sidetracks) - thank god soccer especially Marist soccer isnt looked at by the NCAA - if a basketball player did that he would be suspended or worse

Glad he's leaning towards Marist. Would love to have a great kid like that on the team. I'll root for him wherever he ends up.

Jose is a good player but much of the same type of player that we already have just trying to figure where the playing time will be if hes the best available player take him but would sure love to see some bigs signed. Heard through the grapevine from a very reliable source that chavaughn lewis is the real deal the exact words from a future nyc hall of fame coach and I quote" Coach Martin got very lucky when he picked up chavaughn lewis,"lets all hope the same luck can follow with some big fellas.

CM is recruiting a lot of the same position. Im guessing he wants to play really fast this year and wear other teams out with an extreme place playing about a 11 man rotation much like VCU with two point guards in Price and Morton playing in 6 7 minute interrvals. Having Alexis Lewis Carter Thomas and Bowie all on the wings playing in spirts at full speed would be hard for teams to match up with and a young run and gun marist team could catch some teams off guard. I think RJ will be able to help so Price can play on and off the ball with this style. But this is just a vision/suggestion.. No telling what CM actually has planned.

The team is very young and not going to win a conference championship next year.. Why not be the run'n'gun team that no team wants to play especially in mccann. This style will generate a lot of excitement and make the team easy to cheer for unlike the past two years. Press full court make lots of subs and push the ball on every single possession. Speed speed speed!
