As a public service to any AD's who may pass by and read this board, I think it would be an interesting idea to come up with some names of prospective head coaches. Now, we should leave it to coaches that may be able to coach on the MAAC level, just in case any jobs open in the MAAC this upcoming year. So, anyone have any names we can use for future reference in the possibility teams are searching for a new head coach? I will look for some possibilities in a few after downing some Chinese food. Beef and Broccolli baby.

The assistant route again??? :-)
I like the resume though. I like the North Carolina backround. They'd certainly get good shots

I have the guy to be the savior. He has some Marist connections from eons ago. He has been a head coach before on a high level. He interviewed last year for another program, Rutgers, but they went a different route, so he still wants to coach. You will all laugh and you will all say he will want to much money. I say no, he wants back in, he has been here, maybe he wants to be the guy to get Marist on the map. I give you the next head coach of Marist if an opening occurs: Don't make fun of it:). Are you ready?
AL Skinner. Don't snicker, think of the possibilities, embrace it and then thank me when he leads us to the MAAC title in 2013 and our first NCAA win in 2014.

I will personally sail Al Skinner up the Hudson on the Constitution which we can berth on campus and then have a big welcome celebration culminating in Chuck Martin walking the plank.
I am laughing my derriere off. . . thanks Yankee.

I always thought Skinner was a pretty good coach. Get it done Yankee.. :-) I also like that King Rice suggestion. He's a NY guy. He was a legend in high school.
Do we really know if Murray is making the move? I had heard a guy earlier in the season say that CM had to avoid the PIG tp remain coach. Obviously, that's not happening. For his sake, I hope he lands on his feet. He had good intentions coming in...

We need someone with rebuilding skills. ...or how about someone out of the Gonzaga coaching tree.

You guys all seem to have the coach fired and you seem to think that it is easy turning a program around in less than 3 years, but I think that is the rare exception. If you only allow a guy 3 years (most of you only gave him 2), you are going to go through a series of 3-year coaching regimes and continual losing until you hit that lucky exception. In spite of this year’s results, I think CM should be given at least one more year to see what he can do with Morton, Thomas and the talent that is here. There is some talent and I do not think it would take a lot to get some confidence and positive vibes going next year with the experience the current players have and the spunk that Morton seems to come with. To turn around a Bill Parcells phrase, CM shopped for the groceries, don’t you think he deserves a chance to put the meal together?

if there is a coach with rebuilding skills, he is probably not available. Do you think coaches rebuild and then quit or get fired?

I'm with you Dewd. I think a fourth year is warranted. I was only reacting to the possibility that the "inside info" on the imminent firing was true. My thoughts are this. Show marked improvement and consistency next year. Get a positive feel back. If that happens, the program can take off. Don't jump on me guys, I said if....
