I didn't make it to the event the other night but I've been to a couple practices. Collins is the real deal in my opinion. Collins will/should eventually be the starting PG and Brickner should play off the ball. Though after speaking w Brikner he wants to play on the ball. Price can really shoot the ball well for a big. Salton will be a strong role player. Daughtry has become even more athletic and stronger. Sulack will get plenty of shot opportunities, not off the dribble but in catch & shoot situations. This team is balanced but is missing an athletic defensive guy that doesn't need the ball, imo. Team defense is the focus. Once they build chemistry, they will be competitive. Coaching overall will be solid. Nice information. Thank you. Let's hope for a quick start, good maac season, then take the maac tourney.

Damn we haven't lost a game yet and this board is already fired up Should be after Marist first maac tourney final and having Brick back. Maac was devastated talent wise. Marist has a real chance this year.

Like I said. Great team defense. Collins is the real deal (PG1). We all know Brickner can play. Daughtry active. Bigs are soild. Good coaching. Nice 1st win of the season. Coach Phelps will play a significant role this year. Hope he stays a while. The coaching staff saw changes too; former University of North Carolina guard Derrick Phelps joined to serve the Marist bench as an assistant coach. Dunne’s coaching staff shifted after assistant Dorian Long left the program to serve as assistant under first-year head coach Monte Ross at North Carolina A&T. “Derrick (Phelps) is in charge of our guard play and developing them. He brings great experience from playing at a high level in college and also was in the league for a little bit. He’s got a great temperament and fits the Marist community really well,” said Dunne. centerfieldmarist.com/2023/11/06/mens-basketball-preview-examining-the-drastic-changes-returning-cast-and-outlook-of-john-dunnes-squad/

I was very impressed how well the team played together despite many new faces. Collins played like he was in his third year and not his first game. Pascarelli was off early , but did hit a big three. He'll be a sniper. If Sulack plays as advertised, he'll get many open looks. Very impressed with Max. He's going to be tough to handle. He is a master at drawing charges. Price was very good. He can shoot from deep and that will pay dividends if they play a big lineup.

Quite the start fellas.
Does anyone have updates on Schofield or Sulack? What's their current status/likelihood of contributing?

JS - probably not part of the current plans, developmental guy IS - not sure when he's getting cleared, I wouldn't expect much production and then you'll be pleasantly surprised if you get any

I feel like if either of them contribute anything it's icing on the cake. This team is deep and for either of them to get into the rotation they will need jump out at practice

Marist’s next opponent Binghamton (1-2) plays at Loyola Maryland on Wednesday, 11/15 (ESPN+). The Bearcats two losses are @ Northwestern (-11) and @ Pittsburgh (-29). Their win is a rout over DII Keystone College (+54). Two fifths of the Binghamton roster should be familiar to Red Fox fans. Ex Quinnipiac guard Tymu Chenery and ex Canisius guard Armon Harried have started all three games. Binghamton is experienced. To date Binghamton starting line up has featured two graduate students, 2 seniors and a junior.
