Well one way to stop people from posting “we came in 11th place” is NOT to come into 11th place.
I haven’t posted anything because I honest have ZERO idea what to expect. We lost our best player by a massive margin and I don’t see anyone who can replace that out put.
For coming in 11th and having a miracle run in Championship doesn’t make for a winning season. If making it to the MAAC championship is all it takes to consider the season a success well…..
We WERE a 20 loss team - that was a disaster with 3 great days at end
If the made it that far and had a record that would allow a post season bid to any of the post season tournaments then ok

I suggest it’s time for you to start your own happy fantasyland board and stop being offended by everyone posting on this one. Then you can allow only people who agree with your point of view.

All the negative cry baby nonsense is actually very embarrassing. Grown men whining is very sad. Having a Positive and common sense mindset is his point. If you wanna stress your life out and die early over Marist basketball, have at it. Smh, lol 😂 Made maac final last year, just saying. The negativity on this board really sucks. I think the returning players gained a lot out of that run. Brickner, Salton, and Daughtry all gained experience and should build off of that. I'm probably in the minority, but I think if Allen is healthy, they'll be fine with the three headed monster. While Gardner scored, he wasn't a traditional center. In my opinion, if Farris and Harris shoot well, they'll pick up where they left off. I really like the way Daughtry played. Fearless. He'll be a nice force on the boards, and he has offensive potential. We all knew Brickner was good. Some knew more than others. :-) Salton is a wild card. Good all around skills. I loved that dunk. Shows that he knows he can play at that level.
The key is that the good shooters need to be consistent. Not 4-5 from three in a blowout win and 1-7 in three close losses.
Another key will be Collins. He plays a lot more confident than Noah with the ball. I'm all for the best PG plays, regardless of senority. Brickner will really thrive if he has to control the ball less. Collins finshes plays. Noah seemed to get in traffic and ust bail out. His game is shooting. He reminds me 0f the id from Iona about 6-7 yrs ago. Shooting is his forte. When he's asked to do other things, the shooting suffers. I like the squad.

IF we are even a halfway decent team we should come out of OOC play - 7-2 at worst.

IF we are even a halfway decent team we should come out of OOC play - 7-2 at worst. 100% agree. This out of conference schedule is pathetic. Below are our 9 OOC opponents and where they were picked in their respective conference's preseason polls. Bunch of bottom dwellers. Nov. 6th: Army (Picked 10th out of 10 in Patriot League) Nov. 11th: UMBC (Picked 6th out of 9 in America East) Nov. 18th: Binghamton (Picked 4th out of 9 in America East) Nov. 21st: New Hampshire (Picked 8th out of 9 in America East) Nov. 25th: Bucknell (Picked 9th out of 10 in Patriot League) Dec. 9th: Dartmouth (Picked 7th out of 8 in Ivy League) Dec. 18th: UMES (Picked 5th out of 8 in MEAC) Dec. 22nd: Notre Dame (Picked 15th out of 15 in ACC) Dec. 30th: Lehigh (Picked 2nd out of 10 in Patriot League)

Has anyone heard any intel on Jason Schofield?
He could be the wild card.

6th place. Shot at 5th.
MSM and FF the two teams ahead of them are meh. Could make the case that FF is in turmoil. Quinny has a new old coaching staff. Did the coaches assume Durugordon gets a waiver when they picked Siena 4th? If not, 4th is a stretch. It’s not exactly murder’s row of team ahead of them before you get to Canisius at 3. There are some wins there.
Postseason. Brickner named to 2nd Team All-MAAC. Cooley named to 3rd Team All-MAAC. Collins named to All-Rookie Team.
If Brickner stays they are set up for two no excuse seasons after this one.
