The picture of the track may be a bit deceiving. Phase 1 , scheduled for completion spring 2025 is for the track and field only. The grandstand is for a later phase in the project.

That looks just like McCann. We need to take the next step and get an arena like FFD. It clearly works. Their volleyball and both basketball teams having great seasons.

It looks like a refresh. Getting rid of the bleachers and adding chair back seating along the sides. Rotating the court to free up space for additional amenities within the current structure. Agreed. FF did it correctly. New building.

Also…UAlbany undertook a similar renovation to their much bigger on campus arena. Rotated the court and added seating including in the corners. They already had a high ceiling so they now have a proper 4 sided scoreboard hanging above center court. It took the about one and a half years. It’s really nice.

Looks like Football, M/W Lacrosse, M/W Rowing, Track and XC, Water Polo and Club Sports were well prepared for the event. $372,362 of the $562,554 raised was pledged to athletic teams and club sports. Football: $27.8k, Baseball $1.8k (I remember seeing on GRF that Baseball held a fundraising dinner a month or so ago), MBB $5.0k, Men’s Lacrosse $40.4k, Men’s Rowing $103.1k, Men’s Soccer $10.9k, Track and Cross Country $47.2k, Swimming and Diving $6.5k, Tennis $2.8k, WBB $10.3k, Women’s Lacrosse $22.0k, Women’s Soccer $3.3k, Softball $6.5k, Women’s Rowing $34,5k, Water Polo $18.6k, Volleyball $4.9k, and Club Sports 26.3k.

Men's basketball with one of least is interesting. Rowing, wow

Rowing has a very robust donation infrastructure in place. Track has a large alumni base who have waited decades for an on-campus facility. MBB not having a huge base is not a surprise given their small roster size.
Very successful campaign by the school overall.

I fear MBB will soon be people (doesn’t make sense to call them student athletes anymore)with little or no connection to the school.

Per GRF, TM said 100% of the Day of Giving funds pledged “will go directly to that program to enhance the experience of each student-athlete”. Smart move by him to make that info public and build donor confidence for future efforts.

Well they can really only transfer to schools downriver unless they really want to exhaust themselves rowing against the current.
