www.marist.edu/-/new-york-cityPlace is sold but now we are leasing the same property. Is this a short term thing until a permanent location is secured?

Maybe something approaching a real baseball park, eventually?

Maybe something approaching a real baseball park, eventually? Baseball and Softball Fields are such embarrassments. Would be nice to see something around those fields

The goals of the campaign are vague to say the least

As many of you know I played soccer - In 2021 we lost one of the players from my class 90’ in February in April another soccer class lost a player and good friend.
We contacted college about creating an endowment for the soccer program - both men and women. We put a board together and contacted the college. They did nothing. They wanted us to do all the work - we posted on the website, we asked for list of soccer alumni (no one had accurate list).
I ask numerous times for them to put me in touch with people who did the Football raise or Lacrosse raise - why reinvent wheel we wanted to mimic their success.
We had some fairly large donors who were ready to write checks - in the 10s of thousands but backed out when they heard nothing from school. One of the big issues amping soccer alum was lack of communication over years. I get 1 email a year about alumni game and that is extent of engagement.
Soccer was coming off a Championship, you had about 10 years of alumni who wanted to do something to remember their friends and teammates - all of whom are in their prime earning years in life and the college fucked around.
Found out later that there is a couple who has a soccer scholarship set up with school - you would think the school could have at least introduced us to them, seeing how both groups obviously had tied to the program.

Fairfield's new arena looks really good. Great student turnout but a noticeable number of empty seats among the fans for the men's debut there

Particularly the following line. “ Enough people felt so strongly about their experience doing that at Fairfield that they donated all the money needed to build this new arena.”

I just completed the alumni survey. It may fall on deaf ears but maybe if enough people complain something will get done.

The goal is to raise a minimum of $3.5 million toward the project. Success in these efforts will allow the College to achieve its ambitious timeline to complete the facility in time for the Spring 2025 athletic season.
2.5M to go.

Grandstand as built would hold about 400 people not including standing room only around. I was a bit surprised when I heard about lacrosse/soccer moving there when they play in a bigger/better Tenney but it makes sense if they're only using it as a practice facility in the fall.
