Marist travels to Albany to take on Siena on Senior Night. The Saints say thanks to Rossiter, Jackson and Priestly who will begin their own quest for a 4th consecutive MAAC Tournament Championship against likely 1st round foe Marist next Friday. Times Union Game Story - www.timesunion.com/sports/article/Siena-says-farewell-to-seniors-1032819.php Brookins may not play tonight due to a hand injury suffered against FF on Friday. I wonder if Priestly gets the start with 6th place on the line for Siena?

Jay Bowie and Sam Prescott both game time decisions...imagine if these two can't play? Pat McDerby starting on Siena senior night???

If Bowie and or Prescott needs a game to sit, PLEASE sit them. Just have them available so maybe we can win the PIG game. However, this coach will do something stupid. Prescott for 35 minutes probably now.

A PIG win would be a bone for the fans and a talking point for Martin and Co. going into next season. Marist's last win in the MAAC Tournament was in the current staff's first year 10/7 game against Iona 3 years ago. Iona will either be this year's 2nd or 3rd SEED

Alexis should get extended run with the injury situation. With 30 + minutes, I see him going for something around 14pts, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals. Martin will probably take him out after he gets 6 straight points, but hopefully the momentum won't be lost.

Im with you Yankee in regards to Alexis .. that kid has so much upside ... even tho you can tell he needs to mature more overall .. I do think he should start over Bowie @ this point .. i believe he can be a star by his junior season.

Alexis has lots of upside. Can rebound, shoot, is quick but he makes dumb mistakes. Did not know where he was supposed to be during one offensive set in the first half, had to be told by a teammate. Practice for this season began 4.5 months ago, how can he not know where he is supposed to be. Maybe he was nervous because his Mom & Dad were in attendance. So I agree when he matures he should be fine but when will that happen?

If we have both Prescott & Bowie for the entire game we can actually win this one!
"Talking points" what if they won today and next Friday?

Hope I'm wrong, but I think tonight, once again, belongs to Siena. The fans up here just love RR. Little recruited kid who became one of the most dominant big men in Siena History. They will have the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th man vis a vis the crowd tonight. Get them next week when there will be much, much less emotion in the venue. BTW: There is no reason why Marist should not finish ahead of Siena next season if the pro-Martin cohort on this board is correct.

He needs to be out there.

Siena also locked into the PIG. Tonight is kinda like a PIG exhibition game. According to the MAAC board Brookins may not pay tonight?

Sam Prescott out for the game. Bowie will play. Marist hopeful Sam can play in the PIG. It's a sprained ankle...CM said not too serious. CM was asked if it's a high sprain, low sprain, what the exact ailment was...CM said he didn't know..that's Marinelli's expertise.
