Yankee, I totally agree with you and Martin played zone defense way too long. As far as spelling the word genius incorrectly, I was just testing if anyone was paying attention. Did I spell the following work correctly? Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. It is actually one of the longest words in the english language. Anyway, I think we all need to lighten up after this blowout. Poor Rusin, he does look lost and Prinsloo is sinking fast while Bauer sits the bench again. Go figure. . . . . Maybe we are all missing the point and Martin wants to get fired and bought out. He cannot possibly be that bad of a coach.

Last year we were consistently bad. This year we are inconsistently bad. Does that mean that next year we have to endure being inconsistently good? Followed by consistently good?

I will admit it. Not much good can be take out of a game like today. I'm still here though, and I'm still pro-Chuck Martin. Every time I think this team is about ready to get over the hump and get an impressive victory, they fail me a bit here. This team is still young, this team is still learning, and giant speed-bumps like this are going to happen, it's how they respond to the recent debacles in the next ten-plus games and quite frankly, I think they'll win at least three more this season (starting on Sunday) including one that none of us expect them to win (hopefully Siena at the TUC). Let's just look at it this way as a point of inconsistency, they had a chance to win 3 out of the last 5 games. The other two were terrible, but they had a chance to beat Rider on the road (only down 6 with the ball and momentum with 2 minutes left), Siena (just couldn't get over the hump), and Loyola (maybe would've won if Prescott didn't get elbowed). Bottom line, I just posted to show all that I am still here and that, despite recent atrocious outings, I still think it is the right move to keep CM here in Poughkeepsie as the coach. Wow I hope your right..... But in the meantime can I have some of what your smoking?

I made a similar observation a short while ago.
There seems to be a lot of smokin' going on near the keyboards. Evidence: The awphul smelling by mamy potsers, pooor grammer end studip steatments.

I'm not smoking anything, just looking at this season as a whole as opposed to a couple of really crappy games. All things considered, we should win the game Sunday against Manhattan (with or without Prescott). I my opinion we will win the bracketbusters, because we will most likely be facing a team with a 300+ RPI at home. I think we'll steal one more along the way (I know I said that I hope it is Siena, but I think, worst case scenario, we win one of the two games up in Buffalo). As far as I see it, this team is improving despite several atrociously bad lapses.

How much anyone wanna bet if Marist loses to Manhattan, that one of the Martin supporters will mention how Manhattan played Fairfield tough on the road like that means a damn thing? Preemptive strike, don't do it fellas.
