I've been trying my best to be as neutral about the Go-Stay debate until the end of the season but I just wrote two weeks ago after Iona that that could NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. Just happened again.
BU, UC-Irvine, Holy Cross, Iona and now this game...epic embarrassing, pathetic, inexcusable performances. Not to mention all the other double digit losses that were slightly less pathetic or to big time teams.

Albert Einstein once said "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results". Think about this quote for a second and ask yourself, does this quote apply to Chuck Martin?

ROFL! I understand Marist fans won't do the chuck must go chant. How about an organized walkout one of these next home games? Or everyone turn their backs to the action, bend over and have the coaches picture stuck to their rear end? Yankee, you know those types of actions would only be characterized actions as the fans dissing the players and garner sympathy for the coach. Years ago some Siena Fans brought "Lanier Must Go" signs to the TUC and were told to ditch them, or leave. It's really up to the RFC to get on the case here. I've got to believe there are those among the group whose level of dissatisfaction is to the point of motivating them to ask some pointed question of the AD. This program is flat-lined.

Yankee, Yes because noboby is apparently paying attention and not everyone reads all threads on different posts. Chuck Martin is not and never will be a winning coach. More time. . . . one more year. . . this stat. . . that stat, . . . . it took this team that long to recover. . . bla, bla, bla. Albert Einstein was a genious and I am hoping AD Murray acts on the facts and not the monetary aspects and makes the right decision now for the sake of the Mens Basbetball Program. The current situation is hopeless and we are headed in the wrong direction doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

I agree with most all of this, except for the spelling of "genius". Bad form when quoting Albert.

I see the inconsistency that plagued them all year, which is an improvement from last year when they were consistently bad. Dewd, DUDE, good effort. BUT if you can't call this game for what it is, your impressive posts defending him start to lose credibility. Yankee, you are probably right. I should have listened to momma when she said "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." But I felt pressure to say something, lest I be accused of ducking all of you nay sayers when things are going bad. As you may have guessed, I do not see the need to add to the negativity on this board, so that was the best I could come up with at the time. I know my post was a reach, but I wanted to let you all know I was here and I am not crushed with this loss any more than any of the others and my overall opinions are still the same.

I will admit it. Not much good can be take out of a game like today. I'm still here though, and I'm still pro-Chuck Martin. Every time I think this team is about ready to get over the hump and get an impressive victory, they fail me a bit here. This team is still young, this team is still learning, and giant speed-bumps like this are going to happen, it's how they respond to the recent debacles in the next ten-plus games and quite frankly, I think they'll win at least three more this season (starting on Sunday) including one that none of us expect them to win (hopefully Siena at the TUC). Let's just look at it this way as a point of inconsistency, they had a chance to win 3 out of the last 5 games. The other two were terrible, but they had a chance to beat Rider on the road (only down 6 with the ball and momentum with 2 minutes left), Siena (just couldn't get over the hump), and Loyola (maybe would've won if Prescott didn't get elbowed).
Bottom line, I just posted to show all that I am still here and that, despite recent atrocious outings, I still think it is the right move to keep CM here in Poughkeepsie as the coach.
