You're right Nomar. Call Murray and tell him to fire him now... That's the AD's job. I don't want to hear anything about saving money either.
They cut it to 21-16 and it got out of hand in 4 minutes. I'll say it again. Murray should have one priority. Get this straightened out. He supposedly took his time to make this hire. So start blaming him too. I don't give a damn about Commissioner's Cups. Hoop is where it's at in the MAAC. He passed on guys with coaching experience. This the chance you take. If this AD can't get it straightened out, get an AD that can.

I want to officially go on record with a sincere apology to MaristNeedsHelp. Never has somebody been so right, and I've been so wrong.
This is a redux of Bob Beyer at Siena, Dan Devine at Green Bay, Rich Kotite at the NY Jets and finally Coach John McKay at Tampa Bay, who, when asked by a reporter "Coach, what do you think of your teams execution today", famously replied, "I'd be in favor of it."
They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over, and over again, and expecting a different outcome. That's what is going on here for some on this board. Keep him here forever if you want, but what you've been seeing is what your going to get. Sorry, but after 2.5 years, there is just no evidence to refute it. He hasn't even stabilized the program, let alone advance it.

I see the inconsistency that plagued them all year, which is an improvement from last year when they were consistently bad.

68-41...wow. SPC has only won 2 games this year by more than 10. SPC has only scored more than 66 points two times this year before this.
Marist has had MORE of these efforts this year than last. More wins but more stinkers this season.

They are merely going thru the motions.

Candon Rusin is as lost as a player can be And that would make Candon no different than the program he plays for. Lost in the basketball wilderness, without a compass or, at least, someone who know how to use one.

Chuck Martin is a very ambitious guy...he JUST set the worst loss in Marist MAAC history and look at him...already trying to top it.

I know this is all Chuck Martins fault, and it is, but can the players some pride at all. Their defense tonight is beyond disgusting. Open look after open look from the perimeter and one pass leads to layups. The whole lot of them need to look themselves in the mirror, coach and players. There is one person who does not deserve this. He has been highly respected in basketball circles, and he does not deserve this stain on his resume. Lee, I feel bad for you. Weeks and the young guy too, forgetting his name.
