Marist travels to Riverdale to take on the Jaspers in what should be a winnable game. Marist needs to SHOW UP FULLY and try to break their 2+ year road losing streak (December 2008).
I believe Manhattan will be without second leading scorer and leading assist man, Mike Alvarado.

Well here is the coaching staffs big chance. Marist has not won in Draddy in many years. The Foxes have to play like they must win. Come out of the locker room fired up and play for 40 minutes. If they do, all the bad talk will stop at least temporarily.

In theory, Marist should be in this game to the last couple minutes. In practice and what we have seen, they will even lose this game by 14 +, which would be an abomination. However, this is my hope for the game.
Manhattan has some good talented players on offense, but they lack any kind of defense. Loyola was able to put a 50 spot on them second half last game. I don't want to see many 3 point attempts. Keep hammering it inside. If they do this, they should be able to get 25+ FT attempts. PLAY YOUR TOP PLAYERS as many minutes as possible. This is a winnable game for MARIST, PLAY YOUR BEST PLAYERS to the max. At some point just make Watson stay out there. If he is so out of shape he can't, tough, make him huff and puff it. Prinsloo has some offensive upside in the future, NOT right now though. Don't want to see him on the floor. This is also a coaching matchup that Martin might not be overmatched. Probably only can say that for a handful of coaches. Get it done. GO FOXES!

Watson suspended for an unspecified breaking go team rules. Un-real.

No Bauer...no mention of why. On the pre game interview they mentioned that Bauer practiced and in an intense practice caught McDerby in the face with an elbow and gave him a concussion. This happened AFTER the FF game I believe.
We did get a decent dose of Prinsloo.
Carter is actually playing well with 7 pts and 6 rebounds. Prescott with 9 on three 3's.

56-50 Marist, 3;43 left, Man ball. Carter with 14! Prescott with 13, Kemp with 10. Maybe Carter only performs like this when the game is played in one of the 5 Boros.

Shaky finish but Marist holds on 65-59. 32 game road losing streak finished. 21 game MAAC road losing streak finished. 9 game losing streak at Manhattan finished.
CM's first EVER win at a MAAC school.
Prescott with 18, Carter 14, Kemp 10.
Congrats on the win guys! It wasn't pretty but a road win is a road win.
