Well, they held her to 39 and won by 10. Lots of very lightly contested shots for N. Florida in the 4th quarter, don't know if Rider was tired or if their defense is just not very good.

Meanwhile, Monmouth only down 3 to Princeton at the half.

Outscored 11-3 in 4th Saw that. Random stats. Monmouth shot 28%, Tigers shot 26.4 including 17% from 3. Monmouth with 21 turnovers. Tigers with 9 blocks, 10 steals and 20 offensive rebounds. Monmouth actually lead by 8 at one point. Too bad Monmouth wasted a day when Alarie shot 2-11 from the field.

Stella Johnson named the national player-of-the-week by the US Basketball Writers Association - I wonder if that's a first for the MAAC?

Stella Johnson named the national player-of-the-week by the US Basketball Writers Association - I wonder if that's a first for the MAAC? The next four are gonna be serious tests "The two teams (we face) this week are very, very good mid-major programs," said first-year CMU coach Heather Oesterle, whose team is ranked 28th in the mid-major poll after starting the season 12th. "We're a really good mid-major program," Oesterle added. "(Northeastern) and Marist are good resumé builders for us come march. Northeastern's picked to win their conference. These are really good matchups for us early on in the season."

whoever said "never mistake activity for accomplishment" must have been watching Manhattan women's basketball. Tough on ball defense but man, those CYO halftime games at McCann have better offensive sets. I can't even tell what they're TRYING to do.
Jaspers blow a double digit 2nd half lead and lose in OT at Lafayette when their Rookie of the Week brainlessly fouled a kid heaving up a no-chancer from deep with 2 seconds left in regulation. I think Manhattan scored 2 points in overtime.

2-2 over the next 4 would be fabulous, but probably a stretch.
