The following was posted on the Anygivensaturday.com forum by Northern Iowa fan (good stuff):
Marist 2018 Schedule and Analysis
SEP 1 (SAT) 1:00 PM VS GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY
SEP 15 (SAT) TBA AT BRYANT UNIVERSITY
SEP 22 (SAT) TBA AT STETSON UNIVERSITY
SEP 29 (SAT) 1:00 PM VS UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON
OCT 6 (SAT) 1:00 PM ESPN+ AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY
OCT 13 (SAT) 1:00 PM AT JACKSONVILLE UNIVERSITY
OCT 20 (SAT) 1:00 PM VS DAVIDSON COLLEGE
OCT 27 (SAT) 1:00 PM AT MOREHEAD STATE UNIVERSITY
NOV 3 (SAT) 1:00 PM VS VALPARAISO UNIVERSITY
NOV 10 (SAT) 2:00 PM AT DRAKE UNIVERSITY
NOV 17 (SAT) NOON VS UNIVERSITY OF SAN DIEGO
Let's break it down!
W- Marist gets the win against Georgetown, because...well, Georgetown.
L- The Red Foxes lose on the road against Bryant, because Bryant has been pretty good.
L- Marist parties too much at Daytona Beach and takes the loss to Stetson.
L- Dayton is my favorite to win the PFL, so Marist loses.
W- The Ivy League plays football? Marist wins over Columbia!
W- The players learn from their previous trip to Florida and stay focused to take down the once mighty Dolphins.
L- Steph Curry had a year of football eligibility and is bored of making a fool out of the entire NBA and leads Davidson to victory with a RPO offense.
W- Morehead State is the Georgetown of the PFL. Just sayin'.
W- Marist is pretty good, Valpo hasn't been.
W- I hate Drake (AGAIN A NORTHERN IOWA FAN).
L- San Diego rehires Jim Harbaugh when Michigan fires him midseason.
Fun stuff, but in reality probably very opportunistic. Foxes should have an improved defense (hard to be any worse than last year - allowing 30+ pts per game) but the offense is a big question mark. A lot of new faces (QB, RB) but we do have Juston Christian at WR. Real NFL prospect. As with every year how good will the O-line be? If they can open holes and provide pass protection a winning season is possible. If not we're looking at a long, long season.
