Not as bad as I expected still 0 for a decade and a half in this series. We end the season on 4 consecutive blow outs. How does this staff stay employed?

per footballscoop.com:
Robert Morris (FCS – PA): Per source, head coach John Banaszak has resigned. Banaszak led the program for four seasons and compiled an overall mark of 8-34, including a 2-9 finish this year.

Is anyone on the FB staff or the AD's office paying attention???
San Diego absolutely crushed the 60 scholarship team of Northern Arizona University (NAU) last night 41-10 in the first round of the FCS playoffs. 2nd year in a row that they have won in the 1st round of the PCS playoffs.
No more excuses, fix the program and build to win.

Would it be analogous to "college in Poughkeepsie or college in New Rochelle"? The larger point is that 15+ years ago USD was a sub .500 team and now it's consistently winning FCS playoff games. AND against really good FCS FB teams. The USD AD made a decision to invest in the program by bringing in a solid coaching staff; upgrading facilities and pursuing focused recruiting (back to solid coaching). Yes location has something to do with it (along with being a damn good school) but it's not the reason the program is winning.

Marist still running the program on a D-III budget.

I hate to say this but the reality is football to Marist is nothing more than admissions tool.
Having a football program is extremely important for admissions, it helps balance out the female and male population at Marist.
If the NCAA allow them to stay as a D3 football program like it was when I was there, then they would still be D3
For the most part this conference was created by schools that didn't want to spend money on scholarships.

Sounds about right. What's the cost/benefit ratio if the program is a winner? In terms of being an admissions tool. I guess we would could ask USD. The same could be asked about MBB. Conversely, what is the cost of running a perpetual looser out there versus the additional cost of fielding a winner. A 10 to 20% budget increase?
