Baseball was picked 8th in the MAAC preseason poll with sophomore shortstop Bayram Hot named MAAC Preseason Player of the Year.
Lots of potential to improve on that, but the pitching will need to be a lot healthier and a lot better than it was last season. They open on Friday at Southern Miss, a regional champion in 2023.

Marist men in 1st place halfway through the 4-day MAAC swimming & diving championships in Geneva, Ohio. Women 3rd.
It's been a long time since anyone but Rider won on the men's side. Will the Foxes snap the streak?

Marist men up 91 points on Niagara and 102 ahead of Rider going into the final day. Foxes on the doorstep of their first MAAC championship since 2008. Rider has won 11 consecutive MAAC titles but it seems that will end tonight.
The women seem basically locked into 3rd place as Fairfield and Niagara should have an epic battle into the final event tonight for the title.

Sick lax OT win against Jacksonville in Poughkeepsie! Probably the best team on their schedule, although Hofstra and UMass will be tough too. JU beat Marist 13-5 last year down there. Defense has been really good and Noble Smith has taken a big leap forward in his net minding.

First win for softball in the books, 6-3 over Houston Christian. Up next against the tournament host Abilene Christian tonight.

First win for softball in the books, 6-3 over Houston Christian. Up next against the tournament host Abilene Christian tonight. Foxes rally from 3-1 down in the 6th to beat ACU 4-3. They'll play New Mexico tomorrow, weather permitting, and then fly home.

A dominating 131 point gap between Marist and 2nd place Niagara. The women as noted above took 3rd, but they were closer to 2nd place Fairfield than the Stags were to champion Niagara.

Marist outhit a 2023 super regional qualifier in every game and today were rewarded with a win at Southern Miss. Early returns look like the pitching staff has been significantly upgraded. These guys can play with anyone in the MAAC.

Defense has been really good and Noble Smith has taken a big leap forward in his net minding. Hofstra is the only common MLAX opponent for #1 Siena and #2 Marist. Both play their games @ Hofstra. Saints lost on Saturday 14-12. Marist heads to Hofstra on 2/25. The Pride was picked fourth in the CAA.

MAAC DPotW to Marist goalie Noble Smith for his 16 save performance in the JU win. Got some love from national lacrosse media outlets on social media as well.

Marist freshman center fielder Lewis Rodriguez is the first MAAC baseball Rookie of the Week, and in softball, let's just go ahead and grab all of these.

Couple cold stretches in the 2nd and 3rd quarters cost the Foxes big time against a very fast UMass team, 18-11 final. Wouldn't surprise me to see the Minutemen in the NCAA tournament in May.

Great win by mens Lax today 12-10 over Hofstra The Pride is the common out of conference opponent Marist shares with Siena. Siena lost at Hofstra last weekend. The Foxes certainly look capable of challenging the Saints based on early action.
