nice post Nomar...
Let's be honest, this team isn't going anywhere this year with double digit wins seeming like a pipe dream. There is no reason to play Lamb this season. Redshirt him, let him get fully healthy with the added bonus of having a year to learn the system with the upside being 4 full years that hopefully are healthy.
I anticipate another year of "wait until next year".

Toad22 please post more ... you are very informative and have a very real, honest & positive way of reporting. Thank you! Maker can easily be 'Maac coach of the year' this season ... i believe that. #CommonSenseGenius Unless injury rears it's ugly head in a big way, this year's team will be a lot better. Hart is a stud, Parker is a Hart quality player, Lawrence looks a lot better this year than he has in the past, Lamb looks really good, and really close to being back in action, KJ Lee is no longer a frosh, Knudsen looks to be better than Lee, Troug, though still limited, is stronger, tougher, and more experienced than he was last year, and Funk can actually play. McClenaghan is stronger, and more experienced as well. Perhaps more importantly, the team understands what Maker wants from them. They understand the system better. They should be a lot better this year.

330. Marist: This team was rough with Chavaughn Lewis, one of the best players in the MAAC, last year. Replacing him could prove tough, given their offensive problems around him last year.
Not a lot of love coming from outside program

Toad,
What's your take on Momah? Do you see him developing into a significant contributor? He should be able to rebound. He's more of a PF type than Phil. One thing they have is shooters. I like the way he's putting the roster together. I'm hoping he gets two low post "basketball players" for next year. Love the potential.

He seems to show more promise as a center, where he is spending most of his time in practice. The forwards in Maker's system need to be somewhat interchangeable with each other, and with the guards in some cases. I don't think Momah is likely to become a big contributor, but he may help at some point. Maker is working hard on a center who can help from day one. Not easy to find, but really useful if he can get one.

At least Marist wasn't picked to finish last!A Daly dose of Hoops MAAC preview. Always one of the better MAAC reviews as Jaden Daly actually writes about these teams on a regular basis throughout the year. Just an observation. I'm not sure that Lewis got as much love in these preseason reviews when he was actually a member of the team. LOL

I agree on Lewis and Marist will continue to be picked at or near the bottom until they prove they can finish higher. Will we at long last see progress that can be sustained and then built upon?
