Talked to Allie over the summer about point guard...Says shes not the biggest fan of playing the 1 and was planning on spitting time with FR Jordyn Jossart till she got injured so we'll see what happenes.

Remember Allie was a freshman. Not many frosh play that much in this system. Allie will be fine at point if that's her main task this Fall...

Watching Clement last year I saw a good mid range shooter, and a hard nosed defender. I also saw a below average ball handler and a player who looked for her own shot first, nothing resembling a point guard. Both Lai and Gomez will be greatly missed, even they had trouble bringing up the ball against quick guards like Temple had. The transition form high school to college at the point is huge, also Clement should work on her 3 point shooting, 17% is poor for a shooting guard. 17% 3pt shooting was Dulin's exact number also as a freshman

I don't believe Dulin was ever decent from 3 pt....what made her special was her toughness & her ability to get to the rim. If Allie can penetrate & continue to hit the pull-up jumper she'll be fine. I also believe she'll have trouble handling full court pressure & will clearly need help from Coffey & whomever else is in the lineup,

I don't worry about breaking full court pressure when Giorgis is coaching your team...

Just proves what a great coach he is. Love what I am hearing and can't wait for him to show us the results on the court.

High School. A friend and I decided one day last year to go and watch her. She is very, very athletic. I know Giorgis compares her to Coffey, but I would dare say she's more athletic from what I saw...super talent. We are lucky to have her. She does it all...she's gonna be special...

It sure is an exciting day as the season officially started today!!!! www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10153038054111097.1073742043.133324751096&type=3&uploaded=12looking at current roster - we have 11 scholarship players (also notice Davidson has been added) RSFr. (?) Jossart Fr. Bartner Fr. Davidson Fr. Fitzpatrick Fr. Garderyd Fr. Henningsdóttir So. Clement So. Baab RSJr. (?) Rosales Jr. Metcalf Sr. Van Horn Sr. Coffey Sr. Jarosz We graduate 3 this year... so assuming we have 13 scholarships to use (Marist not NCAA allowance) we have 5 for 2016 - used three so far 1) do you thing they will RS Jossart? Help to start balancing out classes? 2) if Rosales bounces back strong do we RS her? 3) with unused scholarships would he consider giving Metcalf a free year?

not sure how they will manage scholarships, but I think we really need to look for a true post,6'3" solid psot player and a quick sure handed poi9nt guard. with the hands coming and fitz we ok on the wings, we have baab and bartner at the 4.

Dont underestimate - Molly Smith - 23rd ranked player coming out of Minnesota, had a chance to watch her play and she is at least 6'2" and can hit the three and defend in the paint, I got to watch her here in Atlanta and she was guarding the 5 on other teams.

Little 3 pt contest Molly was in
Dog bites man, right? Evelyn Knox wins 3-point shootout. If you’ve seen Evelyn shoot it, you know that it would have been news if she hadn’t.
The venue was the 3rd annual Nickle Dickle 3-Point Shootout in Waconia. Seven of the top 3-point shooters in the west metro were invited.
In the preliminary round contestants took 20 shots worth 1 point and 5 “money ball” shots worth 2 points, from 5 different stations, and in less than 75 seconds. Four players advanced to the finals:
• Madelin Dammann, St. Cloud State recruit, parlayed the home court advantage into 21 points.
• Knox, from Hopkins, scored 16.
• Taylor Koenen, North Carolina recruit from Shakopee—15.
• Molly Smith, Holy Family and Marist—14.
Ally Fuller of Waconia, Hannah Purcell of Annandale, and Nikki Lucas of Chanhassen did not advance.
In the finals, the scores went back to zero.
Knox—16 points
Smith—13
Dammann and Smith—12
You gotta notice that Dammann had the best total over the 2 rounds at 33 points. But rules is rules, and Knox is the winner
She succeeds Martha Kuderer, Chanhassen, last year’s champ, and Anna Perrill of Chaska in 2013.

FWIW if you take a look at the Women's WBB Twitter account in the "Following" section you will see at least 3 2017 post players among the first half dozen or so profiles. Mallory Vaughn 6'4 from Oklahoma. Cara Judkins 6'3" of Maryland. Chrissy Di Cindio 6'2" of New Jersey.
