The college itself is great institution the women's bb has outstanding history and wonderful coach so I'm confident they'll right the ship. Might take one year but I'm confident.

This is no joke and the staff knows it - Birchmeier was very home sick through out the year so i do not think that came as a surprise to the staff, rumor is Lai didn't feel that the system fit her game. Blais is so disappointing that she wouldn't finish what she started things got tough and she bailed, i think she didn't believe that we could win next year and decided not to stay and fight for her team. Fogarty i think the other defections got to her - i believe her a Lai were very good friends (I hope she ends up somewhere good) I for one think that the rebuilding has already begun: The people that we need for the future is Clement and Baab (Next year we obviously need a different Coffey and Van Horn - they can't get down then need to get pissed and motivated) Clement played hurt most of last year and is a gym rat and is pissed off that we lost she will fight to get better and she can be a leader earlier then one would have predicted. I have heard nothing but good things on Baab's development - hopefully the next Beynnon (think of her freshman year) Then this incoming class - is a very very good one, all the recruits are strong (we would like to think that it is the next Dulin/Ockendin/O'Conner type class - and you can bet it will get larger)

Nomar, are your statements fact or just your opinion?

We really need someone to look at all aspects: Players, coaches and maybe have someone outside of the program look into areas that need correction, with confidentially. I think this is a wise course of action and would send a very positive signal about the program.

To lose 4 scholarship players tells me there has to be more to it...what it is I have no idea

Thanks Nomar. I was curious because I see some of the members blasting Blais & Lai, which I feel is pre-mature. My gut tells me that for 4 of them to go at once, there is something more than "not being able to win" or "the system is not right for me" to make them leave.

No mar said Blais is leaving because she thinks they can't win. If that is true, shame on her.

I believe a Junior transfer with one year of eligibility left can play right away. PJ article
