You are both correct. Fox94 is right on the most important skills you need in the MAAC but Peta is also right that the current situation at the 5 spot is simply not mid major DI caliber.

Coach Pitino on yesterday's loss..
"COACH PITINO: Sometimes it can be a cruel game. I was positive we were going to win it when the first free throw went in, because it shouldn't have gone in. We're going to win this thing. We set up the trap. Then we missed it and went into overtime, still excited. The difference in the game. We got away from our ball movement a little bit and trying to go one-on-one. One team could really shoot it, and the other team struggled. That's the bottom line. It's my job to go out there and replace these guys with some shooters. That's our number one objective. It's always tough. It's a bitter pill to swallow because the Final Four is so special. You see last night, I'm sure Notre Dame feels the same way; they thought they had it. We thought we had it. But the thing that impresses me most, they had total momentum, and we came back and had a chance to win it. That speaks volumes to me of a terrific basketball team with great heart.
Underline that phrase ....It's my job to go out and replace these guys with some shooters.....

Notice - he didn't say "its my job to teach these kids to be better shooters" - which i agree with yankee to a point that players need to be coached up, but in some cases that is not enough

Hard to win if you can't shoot the ball.

Remember the potential Colletta had. Injuries really harmed his career. Best of luck to him in his new college choice.

Sounds like a great prospect. Good to learn we are in the mix. Though I'm starting to think Marist must be recruiting the Hospital for Special Surgery. How many guys coming off ACL surgery do you need in one recruiting class?

exactly old fox ,,could be recipe for disaster ..these are serious injuries .. The kid I listed already has played a year after his surgery. So less risk. Marist simply isn't getting many talented athletic kids if they are perfectly healthy. They might be able to get the up and comers. But they were not getting Lamb without the injury thing.

Good luck to Nick. I hope he recaptures his game.
Yankee, that's 4 left over two yrs??
It would be great if Isaiah comes back at even 90%.. I was watching his highlights again. Damn, that kid has all of the tools. What a crossover. Jumps through the roof. Great passer. Strong.
