That would be David Bennett with 42 RF5. I believe that was during a snowstorm against St. Peter's and got on sportscenter for it Nice...first try too.

Haha, hard to believe I remember that game, but that was also the game when I discovered a little guy named Keydren Clark. I think it was a President's Day Doubleheader at Fairfield or something like that. That was a good game. I miss ones like that

Yeah it was Pres Day...Bennett made something like 15 or more FT's in that game...he was an underrated nice player for the Foxes out of JUCO.
I'm hoping this game will build confidence for Sam to finish very strong. He was already having a nice year but he really mixed his drives and outside shots nicely today.

It kills me that the first thought I had when I saw the score was "Well they only lost by 15" as if tha was some sort of strange victory.

They lost that game .. the L is all that really counts at the end of it all ... The Defensive rotation was the only issue (protect the middle better) but the score does not show the effort. The energy from the team and the crowd was awesome .. That was a really fun/good game to watch .. They were in it until the last few mins. Prescott was on fire! Passion! I can respect the pride and fire those young man played with yesterday evening .. again they lost but i like what i saw.
and i think Rusin is just having a off year (maybe personal issues got him off his game) .. i think he can be a great shooter .... during warm ups I saw this kid hit 15 straight 3's then hit another 11 in a row ... I think he will bound back next year ...

You could get that impression from the final score but this was a good game. As was superbly summed up by all Marist played well. I have not felt nor heard that much excitement at a mens game in quite a while. It seemed that the light went off in the players heads after they gave Iona the head start. They played less tentative and scared. They played assertively. They pushed the ball, they took chances. They even had a stretch where the Iona Coach had to call a time out to stop our momentum. It did and Iona went on a run to put away the game. For some reason "it" clicked. Yes we need a point guard. I've been maybe Price's biggest fan here, but he plays scared all the time. And he make big mistakes. Bauer has brought an energy to the floor that has been missing all season. Senior leadership? How could the coach not recognize the need for that.
A couple other observations. Chuck wasted time & energy going nuts over two fouls. He needs to calm down and not get on the officials bad side. Tim Cluess was joking with the refs but he had a 10+ point lead at the time.
The Iona coaches were on the floor during the last several minutes of the pre-game warmups standing at mid court encouraging their team. I liked that a lot.
I felt hope yesterday. They could even win on Saturday.

I know talk is cheap but Coach Martin said some really good things in the last 2 press conf .. it kinda gives u an idea of here his (team) head is ...
I really believe they will do well next season ... may even surprise a team in the pig .. i feel like he is preaching the right things to players .. they just have to execute.
Man, that buzzer beater really messed up this team psychologically .. just when you were feeling like they would get on track and get some wins off momentum.
