Duplicating this from the other thread so all have an opportunity to see it...
Anyone have any suggestions as to what they would like to see as far as regulating the board going forward?...were half day vaca's (bans) for two posters warranted today?, is there still too much non basketball crap in here? I really want to know what you think..this is not a dictatorship...we all run this board...I just happen to haven Admin status.

RF5, it was warranted .. i lost it last night a bit and didnt hold back ... i actually respect nomar's point of view but his tone and approach rubs me the wrong way. I never really made personal attacks until last night but will def ease off with calling him and others out ...
Your doing a great job with the site and you provide amazing details and stats/ facts! Thanks

I offer the following at the risk of being a party pooper: If the post has unacceptable profane language can it: If the post paints with a wide brush, like "you are all stupid" can it. I am sure that if members want their posts to be seen then they will fall back into acceptable standards.

Wait, what? nomar had a half-day vacation and I missed it? I didn't get the chance to enjoy it. Nomar was no-more? Unbelievable!
In all seriousness, I have a libertarian view with the posts on this board and do not take anything personally. I was called stupid and silly stupid yesterday several times, but I think I am not smart enough to realize he really meant it. I did call the guy a dodo head in return, so I am as guilty as him. Keep up the good work RF5 and if you feel you have to censor, go ahead, but you do not have to do it on my part.

To steal dewd's anology, RF5 you are Colonel Jessup's; Our cop on the beat if you will, sir (shameless parody of Jon Stewart). I think the posters on this board trust you to make the right call on what is or isn't appropriate. My only advise to you would be don't sweat it, you're never going to make everyone happy. The board is or should be entertaining. If you're combing every post, you shouldn't be working that hard. I think you'll know instinctively when something is over the line.

RF5 all this angst is new.
We are faced with a very divisive issue. We will never agree. I just wish posters would be a bit more respectful and not need to call others names.
You do a wonderful job overseeing this forum. Thanks!
Use your judgment on whether to remove, suspend or whatever to someone who crosses the line.
But remember we will never have consensus and that is what makes this board necessary reading material each day.
