I can't even type any more. Any news on the last scholarship? Petagay, where did you hear that Marist was interested in Nate Gause? He's a shooting guard right??? I guess he's a pretty good player... They never really keep any local guys home huh?

They are interested but has not offered ... he will most likely be reclassified to the 2012 class tho because he will prob be going to post grad for one year after high school ... but yeah this kid is a str8 up gamer/ scorer. He needs to put on some weight and get a little stronger but he can really score the basketball and get way up above the rim. Fun to watch this kid ...
But we def need a PF (like Mike Glover from Iona) that can score the bball .. like right away

That's exactly what I was thinking Petagay. A Glover type. Post scoring and help for Adam on the boards. I haven't given up on Menelik yet. He has ability. Just needs to dedicate himself. Then get Gause the next year!!!!

I think if Marist can find a way to get a 20 ppg, 10 rpg guy along with a 14 ppg, 8 assist per game guy they could get out of the PIG for the first time in 4 years. I haven't checked the recruiting sites yet, but Marist has 1 scholly left, right? Plus, I fully expect a player defection or player let go situation if Martin stays. He has to know its make it or break it time.

Yup. 1 scholarship left. Rob Johnson. I think you have a 15/5 guy in Morton. Just gotta get a consistent scorer. A get 15 every night type guy. Not a 30 one night, 2 the next guy.
If Morton can step right in, I'd like to see Price get minutes at both guard spots. RJ will be the odd man out. I see Prescott taking a step forward. Bowie is solid. I think Dorvell is becoming what I thought he would be. I love the way they slip him to the foul line for that jumper. That's been a staple the last 3 or 4 games. I don't know where Rusin fits in. He just doesn't have the all around game to cover his shooting woes.

Yeah as of now there is one scholly open. We could really use an athletic big 6-6 to 6-8 210-220 player who can get off the ground. We have not had that for a loooong time. Rider has done a good job getting these type of guys...see Ringgold, Mike or Stewart, Danny.

Very tough to predict output for a guy who is just coming into the league. If we get 12 and 5 assists from Morton I would be very happy. I think it's fair to expect 14-16 ppg from Prescott next year. I think Kemp is capable of at least 10 and 8, maybe a bit more. Other than that I still don't see much consistent scoring from anyone else (and that's assuming Morton works out and puts up solid numbers). An athletic complement to Kemp who could give us say 9 and 7 next year would be of great help!

I agree RF5. It's more wishful thinking for me with Morton. I'm hoping for a Needham type freshman campaign. I like that athletic 9/7 idea too. Long arms who shot blocks and gets the garbage pts
