We have posted our views on the Men's Basketball Team. Unfortunately, we are living a nightmare but we can dream what the Men's team would be like with Brian Giorgis as head coach. Let's share some of our dreams. . . .

I think you'd be surprised. Coaching women is a lot easier than men. He's a great coach, but the men's game is a whole different ballgame. He doesn't have to put up with the attitudes either. He's fine right where he is.

The dream for the men's side is that Isaiah comes in and gets the rest of the crew to get a winning mentality. One other wish. A long , shot blocking forward for immediate help inside.

I'd love to see Geno try the men's game. He'd get his ass handed to him. And he wouldn't get the best players every year.

ggaff, To the contrary, I think you would be surprised. Giorgis would immediately have the respect & trust of the men's team. There would be an unspoken understanding among the players that they have his back & nobody would try to undermine Giorgis. Great coaches do not need a big stick.
The team would have hope, a new enthusiasm, focus and new direction. It would all start with a standing ovation by the players when Giorgis walked into the first practice. Wins would pile up & great recruits would pour into McCann Center.

He's certainly great at vwhat he does. I wouldn't trade him for any other coach in his line of work, including Geno. I just think it's hard to predict. I can't think of one coach who's made a successful transition or even tried. I wouldn't be against giving it a try jgood. It would be interesting to see. Why don't D-1 men's teams scoop up successful women's coaches?

Red fox fans would do almost anything to take the ride that Speedy Morris took LaSalle on in the pre-Marist MAAC. Check out his resume.

If I recall correctly, didn't that Speedy Morris team include three guys who went to the NBA(Lionel Simmons, Doug Overton, and Randy Woods)?

Good call Oldfox. It's very rare.... It's certainly not a given, that's my point. As I've said, I wouldn't be against giving it a shot.

I saw them all play at the MAAC tournament in Albany. By far the greatest MAAC team ever.

Speedy did end with 8 straight losing seasons.. :-)
It's funny how stupid coaches get when they don't have the horses...

LaSalle's greatest MBB achievement was followed by one of their greatest "mistakes", leaving the MAAC for the A10. The grass isn't always greener. Success doesn't always translate, yada-yada-yada.
