Can't Marist lose scolarsips in the future if this stuff keeps happening?

Exactly... and if he did not know Hall was going to be suspended then why isn't he paying more attention to his players academic progress?

well for a couple positives. Martin has not been able to turn Prescott into crap with his coaching yet. 18 points continues his fine play. Rusin with 15. Price with double digits. Only lost by 14, yippee. 80-66 final. I do think Prescott needs a big hand. He suppossedly has worked his butt off to get his academics back on track from last year and is playing great.

I'm speechless regarding these academic issues. It's my understanding that Hall could be back as he is NCAA eligible but not Marist eligible.

yankee... do you think Prescott could be 1st team All MAAC? He's playing great I think not. While he is shows flashes that make you think he might someday make one of the all-maac teams, this year he is only 17th in the league in scoring and doesn't show up in any other category for which the league publishes statistics. Sam, Bowie and Kemp show promise as a core group to build around.

that is a curious thing - if you are ncaa ineligable it would take a whole semester to become eligable - so to be Marist eligable it will take what? 1 or 2 tests? After what Prescott went through and how hard he worked to get where he is, with the learning disability it is a slap in the face if they let either of them play agin this year (not that Goddwin has a choice)

I had to miss most of this game but was tracking it on my phone...
They seemed to give a good effort. There were a number of good individual efforts. Prescott has really continued to play good consistent basketball on offense. 14.5 ppg in MAAC games now...
dribble4drive...I don't think he will get MAAC 1st team just because there are a number of really good seniors and juniors playing for winning teams. I think he is worthy of All-MAAC status on one of the teams but I would not be surprised if he does not get it. Those awards so heavily favor the upper half teams and the upperclassmen.
Devin Price with his best game of the year. Perhaps knowing he's once again the man will get the confidence that CM stole from him back. I always knew he could score but he distributed with 6 assists tonight. I did not know if he had it in him and I'm happy to say he proved me wrong in this regard. Hope to see him do it consistently. Rusin got minutes and scored but was of course not as efficient after I made that glowing post about his shooting %. Kemp with 13 rebounds.
All in all Marist improved the A/TO ratio...still not great but better. Marist out rebounded the Broncs which is nice to see.

Marist is down to 10 players now...well 9 cause Korey Bauer will never see the court again apparently. Same old story...every year he's been here his roster has been whittled down from a full load to just enough to field a rotation. Of course this does solve one big problem....there should not be any sub issues anymore. He now HAS to play Prescott, Rusin and Price big minutes cause he has no other options. Pretty much all but one big man (Bauer) all HAVE to play.

yankee... do you think Prescott could be 1st team All MAAC? He's playing great Not this year as he has too much ground to make up and their record will not be good enough to garner enough respect. If he keeps this up, he has a good shot to be third team preseason all-maac next year IMO though.

With my statement about Prescott being first team All MAAC I meant that if He keeps playing the way he is playing does he have a CHANCE to make first team. With that being said I do think if he keeps it up he should be on the 3rd team... but winning is a huge part of the All conference selections as we know

Just saw the official box score...Price did have 4 TO's and Rusin with 5..man oh man I wish Rusin could cut down on those turnovers. Kemp took care of the ball...needs to work on offensive efficiency...1-5 FG...gotta shoot at least 50% from where he shoots the ball (6 feet and in).
Alexis only 8 minutes...is he sharing the doghouse with Bauer? The CM doghouse must be pretty nice...gotta be spacious considering the large amount of players that get in there. Lots of different players have shared it to so they probably all have brought a little of their own style of decor to it.

Price did have 6 assists so his a/to ratio in this game was +. Rusin, unfortunatley, was a big negative with his 5 turns. Still way too many turns for the team overall. The Foxes did outrebound the Broncs, which is a positive.
CM resume as Marist head coach: Another 10+ point loss 4-16 this year 15-68 overall (.181) 5 academic suspensions
Not good.
