Here's Robert in his own words.
It has been a long Journey for me to finally fulfill my dream of playing division 1 basketball. After my junior year of high school, in which my team was the 5a state runner up. I was highly recruited out of the state of Georgia. Tennessee, Georgia, UAB, Fordham, Lipscomb, Eastern Kentucky, Furman, Air Force Academy, Rice, High Point, to name a few. However many of those schools came and went and I was left with a tough decision. Either sign to the Air Force Academy, which was my only standing offer at the time, or wait until the summer and go to showcases hoping to find a big break. April of 2008 I signed my letter of intent to Air Force Academy. I really did not know what to expect and figured I was going to make the best out of my situation. The situation was unique because Air Force wanted me to prep for a year at their prep school, then start the academy in the fall of 2009. After two months out there I decided that the military life was not for me. I left and took my game to New Jersey to the Edison Academy Prep school. I felt like I made a good choice for myself and schools started calling me recruiting me again. Later in the year as the season progressed I had strong interest from many schools. I recently signed my letter of intent to play at Marist College this fall in Poughkeepsie New York. Posted by Rob J at 12:50 PM

Yea i agree ggaff...sounds not only like a basketball steal (with interest from Tennessee, Georgia, UAB) but also a great kid; Glad we got him. Where'd you find this statement from Rob?

Great find ggaff, good to learn a little bit about Johnson...I liked under one of the posts about him and Price signing their LOI's someone commented, "This is a great catch for the Marist program-those close to Robbie Johnson beleive that he is 6'8 and has another 2 inches along with 7ft wingspan and potential to be a defensive stopper he can gaurd the 1,2,3 and 4. I like coaches attitute about throwing him to the wolves-is just what robbie needs-the word is out that Robbie is a Red Fox and his N.Y fans and family are poised to be Red Fox fans"
Now I know this person has no credibility at all but nevertheless it sounds like whoever it is knows Rob better than we do, and his assessment is very encouraging.

I thought id bring this to the top....... love last comment sorry gg it was yours ,, You are in an evil mood:). I thought he had committed to Howard at one time as well with Price. Or am I completely off in my memory? Think I even mentioned at some point I was excited that we got 2 decommits from Howard.
