Working on getting at least a decent chunk of the Band and Cheerleaders there...Unfortunately I don't think Art knows how to E-Mail as I've gotten one email from him in 4 years, So figuring out housing for the weekend is a pain...All I can promise now is a 20 piece band, and that we will in no way shape or form allow a lets go saints or any Siena chant to be louder that us...You have my word

Maybe the poughkeepsie journal will put together a story encouraging the locals to come out and support the team. LOL

Siena's first 12 points have come in the paint within 2 ft of basket - too easily

Marist PG's are a disaster so far. 2 assists 7 turnovers. Hall has 5. Working his way towards another nightmare game against Siena.
But, nice little run with Price in the game to get it down to a 2pt deficit.

There are people on this board that are gonna say hey we were competitive, we played well in sections - not I this Siena team is not the team that won the last three MAAC championships - this is a mediocre 6-10 team.
Why we lose tonight at home? Easy 5-23 from the 3pt line, 50% from FT line, 24 bench point to ZERO let me say that again we got ZERO bench points.
Don't come back hey this is an improvement from last year where we got blown out - Siena is NOT that team.

A Siena Fan on the MAAC Board commented the game had the smell of the 7-10 game at the MAAC tournament. Hard to disagree.

Oldfox: Rusin belongs on the bench. He is a one dimensional player. He must be stationary and wide open to get his shot off. He can't dribble, get his own shot, play defense, rebound. He should stay on the bench.
Now to the game: Siena has a losing record because their best player had not played in 6 games. Tonight he played and was the star of the game. You take Jackson out of the mix like when Siena played Canisius and Niagara and Marist wins that game. Yes Siena is not the team they used to be. They lost 3 all MAAC players last year. Their fans were numerous but not as confident and boisterous as in past years. Maris t fans did outnumber Siena fans. This is the first time in a really long time I walked out of the McCann center feeling good about a loss. I saw many things that were positive. Kemp & Prescott played great. They are the future of this program. Kemp Bowie and Carter grabbed offensive rebounds. I am not a stats hound but my feeling is that last night we got more offensive rebounds than in many years. Our major deficiency is at point guard. Some of RJ's decisions were terrible. Turnovers have already been mentioned, BUT we had fewer turnovers than Siena. To the surprise of many, including perhaps CM, Dorvell Carter is a keeper. He played very well last night. Played good D, rebounded, made good decisions when he had the ball and shot well. Jay Bowie played well too. Both Jay and Adam are still learning how to play the college game. Speaking of which, Watson has not got a clue. he is lost out there and needs to learn how to play college hoops. He has potential but it is far from being tapped.
Laastly I cannot agree with those who want to get rid of Martin. While this program has not yet turned the corner, the turn signal is on and most of the MAAC has recognized that.
