Is this special arrangement going to be an annual occurrance? I saw the logic in trying to keep a lid on visiting fans last year, but now I don't get it.

Its really ashame it has come to this. Team has been so poor past few years that the crowd would be more Siena fans than Marist fans. I liked this policy last year. I think they need to come up with something different next year. Think outside the box.
How about a "report card day". First 500 kids who brings in their report card that has an A in reading lets say, gets a free ticket. Easily can do this as first report cards came out a while ago, so the tickets would be out early. That is 1000 Marist fans right there as the parent would buy their own ticket to go with their kid. Heavily promote this before the season. Then let the tickets fall where they fall. Something that isn't so transparent.

To go one step further, Yankee, how about the first five to bring a report card with an "A" get to play the first half? Or better yet, the first to bring a report card with three "A"s gets to coach?

I would have wanted at least 75 thousand:). That is cheap nowadays. Petagay, your loyalty to Martin is admirable. I am sure he appreciates your efforts. We all hope in the long run you are right and this works out. I don't think it will and now with hearing how he interacts with his players in practice? The problems in the classroom last year? The lack of improvement in his players this year? What are you seeing that gets you so excited?

I remember in Chuck Martin's very first game at McCann he wiped the clip board as if he were the assistant. Yankee, how may red ties do you have?
