Interesting to say the least. Sounds like BG thinks she will step right in, or at least pose a serious challenge to Maria and Brandy for playing time. All of Iona's Eastern European Girls have international experience and seemed very ready from the get go. Marist needed a 3rd big to match Iona who is going to be very, very good. Like 25 win potential good. I really like this as an answer.
Some of the best MAAC's WBB rosters are just full of foreign players. Iona has recruited from Ireland and Eastern Europe, Canisius has several Canadian kids, I believe Loyola has a couple and now Marist has two, three, if you count Brooklyn. ;-)
Kind of a sad statement when it seems American kids would rather sit on the bench at a traditional powerhouse than go to a top mid-major. But I guess it's that way on the men's side too.
A little more parity, IMHO, would do WBB a world of good.

A strong post presence is what we needed against Virginia in the NCAA's. You've got to be impresed that one of Kate's goals is to make the WNBA.
Here's hoping that the K & K girls ( Kate & Kelsey) can come in and make a difference next year, in Fitz's last year. If either makes an impact, the Lady Red Foxes could return to being a top 25 team.
