Since Marist is pretty much done with recruiting for 2010 ... I find it intriguing to see how our competition is doing on the recruiting trail .. I do believe Martin should jump on the recruiting tranfsers/ JUCO talenet wagon for the 2011 season, like right now (hoping he have a strong 2010 season and keep his job, ha)..
It would be nice if he could convince/find a decent big man/player thats doesn't need a scholarship to attend Marist and walk on, fillin that open roster spot .. (wishful thinkin I guess)

honestly - been there done that - xfers from BC and Nova sure didnt work out for us.
I still think we really had a great freshman class that can grow and be successful in the MAAC - Malik is going to add the most to this team this year. I think we are catching up to other teams with the exception of Fairfield. Otherwise I'd put our young guys up against other teams young guys.

Martin is very limited in who he is allowed to recruit. He is not allowed any Juco players as that is one of Marist's big policies. The only reason he got Javon Parris from Juco was because they knew each other personally and Chuck needed to fill a scholarship spot. And now with the flameouts we've had in recruiting transfers, rumor has it Chuck is limited to recruiting only freshman as that is what he is best known for. Hope that gives some insight for you.

Thanks for the info foxfanatic...So next year we'll have two scholarships open (with Dejuan Goodwin and Korey Bauer leaving), what positions you think we should go for? I'm guessing we'll use one on a big man and maybe use the other on a point guard. I'm not sure, what does everyone think?
