They won 20 games in their first year without Boeheim ,and it was their first year in awhile that they had won 20 games ,i wouldn't say they underachieved the last few years , i think we threw Jim Boeheim a bone as fans for all he's done for Syracuse and let him play his sons more than they Should have under normal circumstances.Buddy was good but played more than he should have his first few years..frustrating others on team .Jim Jr. was on Cornell and transferred to Syracuse and then played a lot his senior season . Syracuse was a fixture in NCAA tourney talk for years. They haven't for years. Basically a lot of time frame Gerry m has been there. 009–10 Jim Boeheim 30–5 15–3 T-1st NCAA Sweet Sixteen 2010–11* Jim Boeheim 27–8 12–6 4th NCAA round of 32 2011–12* Jim Boeheim 34–3 17–1 1st NCAA Elite Eight 2012–13 Jim Boeheim 30–10 11–7 5th NCAA Final Four Jim Boeheim: 846–300 366–192 Jim Boeheim (Atlantic Coast Conference) (2013–present) 2013–14 Jim Boeheim 28–6 14–4 2nd NCAA round of 32 2014–15 Jim Boeheim 18–13 9–9 8th 2015–16 Jim Boeheim 23–14 9–9 9th NCAA Final Four 2016–17 Jim Boeheim 19–15 10–8 T-7th NIT 2017–18 Jim Boeheim 23–14 8–10 T-10th NCAA Sweet Sixteen 2018–19 Jim Boeheim 20–14 10–8 6th NCAA round of 64 2019–20 Jim Boeheim 18–14 10–10 T-6th No Postseason Played - COVID-19 2020–21 Jim Boeheim 18–10 9–7 8th NCAA Sweet Sixteen Mcnamara's been with the team since 2009,,case closed

This is not good. Makes it more likely we get more intra conference transfers. Just putting this out there current marist players. If you ever transfer to Siena, I will so pray you get a 7 week stomach bug that makes you crap uncontrollably for 84 days straight.

unless it's closer to home , somethings wrong with a lateral move like that .

Mcnamara was a darn good recruiter at Syracuse , the problem was the great recruits usually just stayed for a year either to go pro or go to another team through the portal Syracuse has underachieved ever since Boeheim left, and even a few years before that Speaking of underchieving coaches lately , why isn't Fran Mccaffery on the hot seat ??

Syracuse has underachieved ever since Boeheim left, and even a few years before that Speaking of underchieving coaches lately , why isn't Fran Mccaffery on the hot seat ?? A poster on the Siena Board jokingly brought St. Fran’s name up in one of the new coaching threads and someone intimated that that the Iowa hot seat was a possibility. McNamara to meet the Albany press on Tuesday as Siena’s 19th head coach. Interesting hire. No one knows if he can be successful as the head man, but I got the impression that name recognition was front and center to help stem the tide of their season ticket non-renewals. Playing in a public arena is great when you are winning but potentially expensive and ugly looking when you are not.

Some solid schools. Look forward to following JC next year (though I wish he stayed).

Very interesting. Kid was an absolute bucket for two full seasons in the NE-10. 40 percent 3-point shooting is highly welcomed.
