Mount and Manhattan eliminated.
Durugordon and Tekin active for Siena with an 11:14 tip-off, which means the Opening round doesn't wrap until early AM Wednesday

Niagara outlasted Siena 67-65 well after midnight. I certainly didn't stay awake for that one. The first women's game started 1 hour later than how it was last year, it ran long, then the 2nd game went OT. Schedule was totally f'ed up from there.
I'll be very interested to see what Commissioner TT does going forward with 13 schools (pending possible departures).
A single site same dates tournament for the men and women is probably no longer feasible. I always pushed back on the "durr get da wimmin outta here durr" dweebs, but the times they are a'changin'.

Maybe it’s time that not every team makes the tournament. I do believe that that is the case for other championships in the MAAC. Make teams earn their way in. I see that as the pro-competition solution.

I see that as the pro-competition solution. Pig games at campus sites 2 days before seems simple solution. Then AC tournament starts with quarters

I see that as the pro-competition solution. That is true but every other conference except Ivy (to my knowledge) allows everyone one in. Plus, you don't have a fun run like ours last year! Could split PIG games on Monday/Tuesday. I think the full one site for both Men's and Women's is cool so fans can see everything they want.

ASUN, I think Big West. Starting next year the B1G will leave the bottom couple of its 380 teams at home.

Splitting the men and women tournaments would be a logistical nightmare and, I assume, would force the league to incur additional expenses. I would be happy with 8 teams duking it out for the auto-bid. T/F/Sat or F/S/Sun. I don’t think it would hurt attendance, and might just keep people around after their team loses since it’s basically a long weekend, not five or six days.

I don’t think it would be a new thing for the MAAC.

Oh absolutely, hoops is the only one where everyone qualifies, except for the years when volleyball goes to Disney World (once every 4 years I think). Top 6 qualify across the board except tennis which is top 4.

The men's and women's soccer coaches voted to stop going down there and cross country doesn't go anymore either. Golf is always there - probably because the good courses around here don't want to shut down for a weekend in the spring.

2023 - Iona wins both tournaments
2024 - Iona is the first school eliminated from both brackets

Sounds a lot of scenarios are on the table (only certain teams qualify, campus sites for PIG, extending to a 7-day tournament), but still looking for men's and women's games at the same site.
