The theme for tonight’s game: the irresistible force meets the immovable object.
The MAAC’s leading scoring team (78.6 ppg) visits Marist, the MAAC’s leading defensive team (62.6 ppg) in a match up of two teams heading in different directions. The Bobcats come to McCann enjoying a run of four wins in their last five games. Marist, on the other hand, is in the midst of a 3 game losing streak and trending downward.
Players of note. Matt Leblanc leads the Bobcats in scoring at 18.7 ppg. MAAC assist leader Savion Lewis dishes 7.9 dimes per game on average. Qunny’s aforementioned backcourt are both 5th year players at the top of their games and will provide another real challenge to Marist’s starting freshman. Remember Fairfield. Red Fox fans are hoping that Max Allen’s knee problems are behind him and he reclaims his spot as the center of attention for Marist at both ends of the court.
It’s an cliche to say that every game starts and ends with defense, but this one more so for Marist.

Marist will get throttled without Allen. If Allen plays his normal minutes, Marist most likely wins. Quinny can be very good offensively, but can be trash defensively.

Hope he gets full minutes and trusts the knee is healthy. Marist good chance if he close to 100 percent

d2 - that type of start HAS to make you do an eye roll - it was that bad

Quick hands on defense helped them get the game stabilized.

d2 - that type of start HAS to make you do an eye roll - it was that bad I would worry more if it were at 15-20 point lead ,,obviously ,,teams down by a quick 7-8 is quite common at start of games ..with little relevance to the rest of the game

Eggink is correct. Brickner needs to take advantage of his physicality. He should drive the ball to the hoop. Get to the line.
