Heard earlier this was coming. Hope he enjoys his retirement, he gave a lot of years to the school and ran a clean program with kids who graduated and represented the school very well in the areas of life that matter. Never embarrassed the school in a serious way like how other coaches do in this sport.

Congrats on retirement, Coach. Should be interesting where things go from here. All eyes on you, Tim.

Maybe all this time he just wanted to beat San Diego.
Congrats to coach on retirement

Is it an unpopular opinion to say that this is an ideal time to just axe the program?
Most if not all our MAAC rivals already have. What are we still doing this for? It's an unnecessary financial drain and we compete with teams like San Diego, Stetson, and Davidson that necessitates excessive travel. If it were at least more regional, it'd make sense. As it stands, it feels like we're clinging to a sport that has already moved away from small NE colleges like ourselves.

They can't - the reality is it is vital to adding diversity to the college, something they work hard at but have not been overly successful.

Let’s see what new blood can do with this program.
Don’t F it up Murray!
And yes, very unpopular to drop FB

Not to mention the significant tuition paying FTE the roster represents. Also, years ago someone from the development office told me that Dennis Murray felt that football Saturday’s on campus were an important part of the student “experience” Marist (He) wanted to provide.

That's like asking him not to breathe Well. He does have a new boss who seems to be a lot more engaged in athletics. Might not indicate anything but I did notice the Bucknell game highlights on GRF were sponsored by a regional hospital. Never saw that before. Might be nothing. Might be baby steps.

From athletics website:
“Scott Rumsey will serve as Marist's interim head coach. Rumsey has been the program's associate head coach the past 19 years, defensive coordinator for the last 23 years, and has been on staff for 26 years. A national search for Parady's successor will begin immediately. Marist College has retained the services of Parker Executive Search to assist in this process”
It better not be Rumsey

Some names from outside D1 (head coaches)
Ralph Isernia, RPI Jon Poppe, Union Michael Toerper, Ithaca Chris Pincince, New Haven
Anybody from the Parady tree that has had success in coaching? Doesn't have to be a head coach.
