He probably wouldn’t want to come back but if he did, it would change everything. We need a guard who can get to the rim and score and he would fill that. Just has to stay healthy, which he hasn’t.

Y'all beat me to the Jao news, haha.
Half Iona's roster hopped into the portal today including Jeremiah Quigley.

I'd probably pass on that reunion as of right now

I'd probably pass on that reunion as of right now I agree. If he had entered portal, but changed his mind and stayed, that's ok. But he left his teammates and his coach. Have fun elsewhere

sounds like he's had significant knee injuries and knows he can't compete at power 5 level.Remains to be seen if he can come back at all. I hope he can find a place somewhere .and Yankee, i think most his teammates left that year too.

So no, he should not be welcomed back in my opinion.

It is also possible and likely that Jao would not want to come back to Marist. I believe there was a racial issue with another student near the end of his time at Marist. I was disappointed he could not get on the court at Wake Forest, my alma mater. He was voted team captain and the early reports were glowing and that he was such a hard worker, but then something happened (another medical issue, who knows) and he never made it back. He wasn't even travelling with the team or on the bench down the stretch. I wish him the best and will be watching with tepid curiosity.

You have an issue with Dunne, and or an interest in taking Ituka side. Let's at least be honest. Again, you wrote the following(let's look at your description of Dunne).: "Good mid major coaches can keep players long enough to have an impact. Bad mid major coaches, who get lucky with a prospect (Dunne/Ituka) probably can't anymore. Also doesn't seem like Jao had a great time at Marist off the court."

Sam Federman has started his 2024 offseason hub for MAAC transfers and incoming players. MAAC Off-season Hub. Says we have interest in Malik Moore from Pepperdine. 6-5 sg, probably a wing in the MAAC, avg 9 ppg and shooting 0.362. Stole someone from the west coast last year, would be a nice get

Byrd is officially grad transferring. Became a good three point shooter in D2 and should move back to D1 (I think only went down to avoid having to sit out)
Marist would probably do better with a bit more size for their shooters given the current roster though.
