Great tourney run by all players and coaches. Hopefully this helps get more fans out next year and maybe it helps with a recruit Marist has been involved with. Build off this.

No real PG's hurt, the Iona guards just quicker and more athletic, it was a pleasure watching Gardner this year too bad this inept program couldn't get him a uniform with his name on the back.

Helluva week, Red Fox Nation. Just ran outta steam in the end playing 4 games in 5 days.
Great showing for those in Marist Red, just too much maroon and gold in AC for my liking.
Band/Cheer/Dance yelled their hearts out, still the best spirit team in the MAAC.
Finally, I'm looking forward to Iona getting curbstompped into humility in Dayton on Tuesday.

Need to change the culture, especially with students. Last year the ESPNU senior night game was great. A nice postseason run this year. Need to keep it going

Damn they put it all out there. Unfortunately Iona is just quicker and bigger. Thank you team for an incredible week and thank you for Patrick Gardner for an incredible year of basketball (hoping he gets NBA looks, especially after Pitino said he should)
Gave it all we had but gave up too many second chance points and turnovers on inbounds.
The 3 freshman look like studs. Add a transfer post, ideally like Gardner lol, and hopefully we can see similar stuff in AC 2024

Hey, it was nice run in the tournament. Rough season but nice finish. Something to build off. Going to be tough to replacing Gardner. I hope JD finds a way. Definitely something to build off because Dunne basically has to rebuild the offense. Gardner is a unique talent at 6’11” and impossible to replace. Dunne will have to figure out where the scoring is going to come from next season which is a scary thought given how dominant and clutch Pat was all season long. I’m hoping Jadin Collins who is identified as a point guard by many recruiting sites can be the primary ball handler and floor leader the team desperately needs. Harris obviously isn’t and while Brickner is solid, I would like to see how IB can operate in the offense playing off the ball. Harris and Farris coming off the bench makes a solid pairing. All this means little unless Dunne finds a non-developmental post, so there is that challenge too.

Pretty emotional post game press conference from Dunne. Even explained his rationale for getting so animated on the sidelines (hopes his players respond with more energy). Seems like a good bond with the team. A lot of pieces for the future if they can find a way replace Gardner's contributions

The block on Brickner followed by the three killed them. We've been watching the trouble breaking the press and inbounding for a while now. Don't know why Noah seems so lost in that area. They gave away at least 10 pts .. Probably 20 if they score on half the empty trips. Some led to easy baskets the other way. The freshman are studs. Daughtry seemed to gain more and more confidence. Handling the ball and taking it to the hoop. Hes a horse on the boards. Would like to see him put on 10 lbs. Salton looks composed. He'll take the second year leap. I think IB just ran out of steam. That caused the missed layups. He ran his ass off 4 times in 5 nights.
Collins looks like a press breaker. I'd like to see him start. Noah and Kam can be part of a good second unit. I'm hoping Josh is a consistent sniper. He certainly is in HS. They played their hearts out. Proud of these guys. I'll really miss Gardner too. Great kid..

No way Iona is in Dayton, right? They're a 13-14 seed, not a 16-17.

Great kid.. i thought is was more when Harris took it to the corner and bobbled it and iona came back and scored ..i thought that was the momentum changer ..regardless i think they gave it everything they had ..Really the 3 pt shooting was on par with how they did throughout the season with the exception of Gardner who was clutch .. i don't think it would have taken 60% shooting from 3 to beat them like Yankee said ..but if we hit like 40%from 3 i think we could have beat them ..So lets do it all again next year ..with the freshmen ,Dunne ..and Murray ..looking forward to a repeat performance ..

Need to change the culture, especially with students. Last year the ESPNU senior night game was great. A nice postseason run this year. Need to keep it going The student fan culture won't change until we consistently show that Marist values athletics by putting up a good product AND a good production. The game environment for all sport at Marist is amateur hour - mistakes during announcements, mistakes during the national anthem, poor quality video production, the website is a joke, we can't even get ticketing right. Either the administation needs to start demanding excellence and providing the resources needed to get it, or things will only get worse - yes things can get much worse. All due credit to the team, but the reality is we won a playin game against a Manhattan team that didn't have a coach the week before the season started. We played one great game to upset Quinnipiac, we beat a St. Peter's side who was as amazed as we were to be playing in a semi-final and then we played a decent 10 minutes today. One weekend doesn't make a season and it won't give us momentum. This weekend was a sad glimpse into what could be if only the administration gave a crap.

This tourney run SHOULD give us the most momentum in a very long time. If it helps recruit a big man transfer or two, it was incredibly meaningful. The core has been built, now we need to build on it stemming off this run.

Congrats to Gardner and Brickner for earning a spot on the MAAC All-Championship Team. Well earned accolades.
