Hi Brian, my wife and I started with WBB with the prior coach. We were part of about 200 people in the stands. Your were selected to take over the WBB program and I was one of the cautious ones tht wondered how a HS Coach would do in Division One. I was impressed for a few years then I became a real FAN. You have been an inspiration and more than that a mentor to so many young women. That is a real coach. I agree that we all, know who you are and your background in multiple sports suit Marist well for the new AD.

I think there will be stories told for years to come. For me the list is long. Watching the Iowa St game at Cameron indoor first round NCAA is up there though. You want to know what kind of person he was you don’t have to look far - all his past players and coaches that comeback speaks volumes. I had the pleasure a few week backs to hang with Sydney Coffey and Delaney Hollenback here in Atlanta when Wake Forest and Gebbia were here and when you hear them talk about their time at Marist and coach it really is something. For me I am lucky enough to call coach a friend - not exactly sure when it happened seeing as I live in Atlanta - but through years it did. Maybe taking him to TPC golf course down here helped. It didn’t take long before our conversations were about more than basketball. To emphasize the type of person coach is - my son started to collect sports memorabilia about a year and a half ago and since then coach has be a guide to him through the right way and wrong way. They trade cards, helmets etc. - my son always getting the better of the deal. Like his teams he is so so unselfish, never puts himself first. Looking forward to some more rounds of golf and continued conversations down the road. nomar, could you talk coach into coming to Myrtle Beach for a round or two of golf? By the way, why have you never suggested playing when you have visited many times? Guess you just don't want to play with a hacker. LOL

Ohio State is my #1 no matter what ha. It was such a fun game. But DePaul may have been more exciting with that come back

Marist State had a big win late in the season against Iona A&M. Too bad they were swept by Siena Tech and Rider Poly.
