D seems kind. I agree about the guards. Add passing and breaking down defenses as another deficiency

This might be the most depressing team in decades. There is just no glimmer of hope for future.
Our best player is one and done.
Our 2nd best player Harris is a .285 FG% shooter and not a 3 pt threat at all
None of our Freshman are going to even sniff the all-rookie team.
Just a dreadful roster

I can’t think of a Marist player who has done less with an opportunity than Harris. All off season to prepare. Tons of playing time. Yet no improvement. He has been a major disappointment so far..
Brickner has a shot at the all Rookie team if he keeps improving. He certainly is going to get the playing time necessary to hone his skills/performance. Nice player with excellently size for a guard in the MAAC.

I fear Marist is developing him for a bigger program.

I fear Marist is developing him for a bigger program. That’s the dilemma. Bring in an Ituka or Wright and they probably leave as soon as the going gets tough. We know HS players no longer have to risk not getting a scholarship if they mistakenly hold out for a dream school offer that never comes. Just go to your second or third choice school, then transfer. Few mid-major are immune. Basketball safety schools like Marist and about 75% of the other MAAC teams are going to have to find a way to adapt. If I’m Dunne I would have pictures of Ituka and Wright along with their playing time at their new schools displayed in the locker room as a reminder that the grass isn’t always greener somewhere else.

in Itukas defense ..he really has been injured all year ...its a nagging knee injury ...many of the teams pre game analysis keep hinting at this . which has limited his playing time for sure .
