Enough. He obviously can't adjust to portal system. He will be a great assistant for next 20 years somewhere. just get away from here.

I don’t think any decent coach will work under TM. Look at the history of Marist coaches. Career death

I think any coaching decision should be made by a new AD. Dunne likely has another 2-3 years on his deal, so could give the AD the chance to make that decision later on.
Overall though when Monmouth was in the MAAC, and the University of Hartford did their feasibility study on other conferences, Marist was 8th in MBB spending back a few years ago. I doubt that's changed all that much. With Mount St. Mary's here they're probably up to around 7th.
Dunne's finished in the MAAC at 8th, 11th, 5th, and 6th so far. Marist is pretty much getting what they're paying for.

If anyone is interested in where Marist and the MAAC MBB spending ranks in comparison to their MAAC and D1 peers this linked updated spreadsheet from the Three-Man Weave website lays it out pretty well. The MAAC (ex-Iona who is the outlier) and Marist aren’t lavish spenders but they aren’t penny pinchers either. Fun with Finances 2.0: Basketball Budgets Revisited

interesting stuff. I didn't know the MAAC was 14th in average MBB budget among leagues. In most other sports (at least the ones where an approximately full slate of conferences compete, i.e. baseball/softball/volleyball/women's soccer) the MAAC is in the 27-30 range of spending. It's a graphic representation of the outsize emphasis on men's basketball within the MAAC - and since Marist refuses to act like its league mates, for better or worse - this is what you get.

We've made some mistakes in our coaching searches ..We went after someone young and different when we went after Behlein ..that didn't work out ..then we went to someone safe ..someone we knew was capable .and i think it worked out the first few years ..i think we passed on the Wagner coach when we had a chance along with the Norfolk State coach at different times..i look at a guy like Paulus ...and his ability to attract players not just out of high school but out of the portal as well ..If Dunne starts to get a bad vibe around him ..we're toast ..Having said that ..i think we're going to give Dunne another year to see what he can do ..barring another 7 player exodus from the team ..

There is not one person more responsible for the destruction of Marist men’s basketball than TM.
He is the face of failure.
He is the persona of failure.
He is walking failure.
He is the embodiment of failure.
He needs to go and so does Frankie.
Frankie, how idiotic

When others make mistakes on this team, I point it out, others too. As a fan , I was wrong last year. For years, when Dunne was at SPC I praised him. Then I started blasting him, even though he has been improving Marist incrementally. Coach Dunne, I apologize. You are changing this teams culture and are making us winners. Coach Dunne, let's keep moving this program forward

This should be a fun year. Build on the momentum. Great roster. I was convinced that the program was heading in the right direction by the tourney interviews. That was great. They can win this year.

We’ll see.
I still remember the horrible losses last year. Last place finish and Dunne’s sideline antics
