Canisius is playing well - shoot the way we did against Niagara and lose the turnovers and we should be able to escape the west coast trip with two wins

This is certainly not the hapless Griffs team of the last few years. The grad transfer PG Vanessa Garrelts and the freshman forwards Sisi Eleko and Brooklyn Thrash have been a handful.

Agreed Shooter. I watched the Griffs game vs UAlbany. Despite the loss they looked well coached and talented. Would be a good road win for the Foxes.

Its not rocket science
Niagara FG 52% 3PT 47.1% = Win
Canisius FG 31% 3PT 0.0% = Loss

This group has zero consistency

Not sure why we even play other kids - besides Zaria, Krick, and Fisher - none of them are part of the offense apparently.

Nice comeback effort but ran out of time.
The same players do everything because the ones that don't - can't or won't. It's not that complicated.

Missing at least 10 layups cost us the game.

I thought Bonilla played well again, and even in a loss that's a long term positive. She has to be their 4th option.
Front court group besides Zaria has to produce more. 1-5 from Donnelly ain't it.

Unfortunately this team resembles a .500 team both overall and in the maac.

I think Bonilla might just need the confidence that I think she now deserves to have and, yes, while Donnelly is doing her rim-protective thing well, it looks like they’ll be getting VERY little offense from the center position. Last five minutes, at least, both Donnelly and Bailey on the bench in search, I guess, for offense.

You can add play off the bench to the areas of concern. Marist bench was out scored 31-1 today. That’s not only shockingly bad as a stand alone stat, it’s also a canary in the coal mine of sorts for the further dependence on the starting 5 and for the dearth of game ready talent on the bench. Every time coach subbed today Canisius pulled away and he was forced to put the starters right back in. Does anyone improve anymore? Donnelly is shooting 35% for the season and averaging 1 point a game. Not what I thought Marist was getting.

The bench doesn't matter - whomever he puts in can not be seen by Krick, Fisher, and Zaria .... this team has too much tunnel vision.

Donnelly had 5 RBS, 1 A, and 4 blocks in 18 minutes. Ya she scored only 2 points but we knew that she wasn't a great scorer. Give her a chance to play more minutes. We know that Coach doesn't care for big post players. He would rather play 5 Point Guards and the MOTION. He is old school and will not change. Maybe he should play a modified motion and let his stars play with no restrictions. Meg does.
