baseball walloped Q 12-4 in the second game. Need to sweep QU tomorrow at home or split and have Monmouth sweep the Canisius series.
softball is in some trouble. Down 1-0 bottom of the 4th with only 1 hit off Canisius pitcher Emily Nicosia.

1-0 was how it ended. Really tough way to go out. Haff pitched excellently, just tossed one ball that ended up over the fence and that was that.

Hard to win games scoring 1 run over 16 innings. Seems the offense cooled off after the first 3 games in the tourney. Proud of what this team overcame and the pitching next year should be top notch

congrats to Manhattan on their first title since 1999. Always interesting to see new blood at the top. Their head coach Tom Pardalis used to be an assistant at Marist many years ago and was on staff for the first NCAA qualifier 2006 squad.
For baseball, they split with Q but got help from Monmouth sweeping the DH from Canisius.
Near as I can tell, based on tomorrow's results - if Monmouth sweeps the Griffs again, we're the 4 seed and host Niagara. If they split, we're the 5 seed and go to Canisius. If the Griffs win twice, we're the 6 seed and go to Rider.

women's rowing with a clean sweep of Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Four to claim yet another MAAC championship and NCAA appearance.
Monmouth beats Canisius for a third time, one more of those brings playoff baseball to Poughkeepsie next weekend. Go (gag) Hawks.

USC ended up pounding Arizona State in the semifinals and UCLA in the title game to win the national championship. Margins weren't much closer than what they beat Marist by.
Manhattan as you may imagine got a pretty impossible draw for regionals. #6 Arkansas, Stanford and 42-win South Dakota State.

Probably assisted by USC crushing everyone. Nevertheless pretty cool http://instagram.com/p/CO9RbTAhulg

baseball splits the first 2 games of the quarterfinal round at Canisius to force a do or die game tomorrow. Lost 8-3 in the opener, then won 12-6.

6-6 bottom 7. This game will come down to whose bullpen can get the big outs.

Rider wins the baseball tourney
Fairfield lost 1 game all regular season and lose 2 in 3 days ... bad timing. They finish 37-3, wonder if they have a shot at an autobid
