I think the Iona-Q series had already been whacked, but they're gonna have Siena go back down to CT on Sunday to take their 2nd beating from the Bobcats.

Games scheduled against Monmouth this coming weekend are “postponed”

Well Monmouth goes on pause so only remaining games are vs at Pete’s. I was hoping those games would be postponed because I didn’t love playing the weekend right before the tourney but I have no interest in not playing for the three weeks before the tourney
Also, do not understand how Fairfield was allowed to play this weekend. Wonder if one of the FFD player transmitted

If we do not get #1 seed it will be solely based on the MAAC #$#@#$@ us AGAIN.
The fact that Fairfield played Monmouth THIS weekend after they JUST played Iona on Wednesday and an Iona player who played 30+ min tested positive was so monumentally stupid... any moron could have predicted THIS outcome.
We should have played Monmouth this weekend NOT Fairfield - but because their program already had SO many positives they were allowed to play.

as long as the MAAC doesn't magically find games for Quinny to play and win (especially against the basement bum teams) it can't hurt Marist.

If QPAC wins two games in Buffalo and we don's play another game who wins the #1 seed?
Also I suggest that the MAAC stops all games and play the Tournament at the huigest seed place. If you put 10 teams and other people in AC someone would have a good chance of being positive and that would shut down the Tournament. Also that would eliminate any team going to the NCAA Tournament.
I say Cancel the Tournament and award Marist the MAAC Championship and the NCAA Tournament birth.

If Fairfield gets more games scheduled and wins to get to 3rd, Q gets it. For whatever reason the MAAC thinks it's better to lose to bottom teams than the third place team

Pretty standard across all conferences.

Ha Shooter, really? But you didn't answer my question in the above. Who wins the MAAC if QPAC wins 2 games and no other regular season games are played?
IMHO I think if another game is played in the regular season than just 1 positive wold shut down those two teams for the season.

BTW BAD losses are considered in the seeding for the NCAA Tournament.

I am pretty sure win% is the second tie breaker, and if its not then that is dumb. If Q finished 12-4 and we finish 12-2 (with none of our cancelled games being our fault), there should be no question we should be the one seed

But this policy reads like IRS regulations so who knows. I think the biggest advantage of being a 1 seed this year is that if COVID cancels the MAAC Tournament in progress (and the 1 seed is still alive, of course) the #1 seed is getting the autobid. Another quirk....Since the 6 is getting the same “bye” as the 1 and 2 into the quarterfinals by virtue of the Canisius withdrawal the 1 might actually have a tougher path to the semifinals as the 1 is guaranteed to face the 6 and the 2 will face the 8 or 9.
