The kid has speed and quickness settings our current players can only envy. Quick first step and gets into the open spaces. Love how he can stop on a dime and elevate to get his own shot. Let's hope it translates to the next level.

Byrd is exactly what we could have used this year. It was all side to side ball movement this year. The shooters were rushed. I think Bell will thrive with this kid. Plus, he's an excellent shooter. And he has great vision and is a press breaker. He's 5'9 but that league is good. He went in and challenged inside.
Hopefully Enoh and Jones thrive because of his quickness.
Cubbage can play off of Byrd and not get worn down. Win, win for everyone. I hope they get Boyd or Rodgers. Cooley is on Boyd's team. The ol combo deal???

If Marist gets Boyd, they can field a lineup with the fewest letters in basketball history: Byrd, Boyd, Enoh, Sagl, and Bell.

Wait maybe he still thinks Dunne is at St. Peter's so he put them by mistake....... 2020 class is ONE person. If we aren't getting out top targets can't imagine the program changers are gonna come from our 3 rd or 4th choices

That sucks. I was hoping to see that Boyd signed with us. So much for the great visit. He's a nice player.
Now I hope for Rodgers..

Being reported on maac board that Cavanaugh is transferring. Opens another scholarship. Wish him well.

Having scholarships doesn't seem to be the issue - using them to get a player who can change the fortune of the program does.

I hope - I said same with Turner and Hines and nothing. Yankee here is my issue. We are NOT winning recruiting battles for the types of players we need to make a change in the direction of the program. Next years team looks the same as this years so far.
Right now we are pinning a turn around on a 5'9" PG who had no offers from bigger conferences (doesn't mean much as Jared Jorden didn't either). 10 wins next year would be a massive failure on a 3 year "seasoned" coach.
Iona is already 2 loses.

Maker money coming free soon. Marist needs to do something different. Why not try this?

You are just talking about adding just another "assistant" coach - the guys we have ARE Recruiting Specialists? I don't know what would be different?

If the guys Dunne has coaches who can't recruit than he needs to fire all their asses right now and find ones who can
