But no athletic scholarships in the IVY League. Can only receive academic money for tuition, all other expenses fall on the parents, or student loans. That's the reason when my daughter was contacted by Brown, we never seriously considered that as an option. Happy that she was offered by and accepted Marist. Do they offer nearly 100% tuition? What are the other expenses? I'm sure the IVY's can find money somewhere for the top athletes that are comparable to most schools athletic scholarship

I'm sure the IVY's can find money somewhere for the top athletes that are comparable to most schools athletic scholarship IVY League rules specifically prohibit any assistance with such items as room and board and books. Tuition is the only assistance allowed and only for academic excellence. And that not only includes assistance from the school, but also from any other source, such as alumni or boosters. At least that's was what was explained to us during the recruiting process.

Lindsey Lawson
"When it comes to Division 1 offers Lawson isn't lacking as she holds offers from Colgate, St. Bonaventure, Temple, William & Mary, Army, UMass, Brown, Manhattan, Lafayette, Binghamton, Albany, Marist, and Canisius, with many more also interested and following her closely.
Lawson just took her first official visit this past weekend to Army and has both Bucknell and Quinnipiac hoping to get her up for visits as well. Army was Lawson's first official visit though she has taken unofficial trips to the likes of Villanova, Boston College, and a number of Ivy League schools as well as she analyzes and considers her options for the future."
We got out work cut out to land her - HATE that Quinny is involved

Hopefully she doesn't make her decision soon and sees how this years MAAC season turns out.

You know when it comes to players like Lawson and some of the other 6’3”+ kids we are recruiting, you hope that part of their decision is based on roster.
Quinny has 6’4” and 6’5” kids so they will be behind them, at Marist we do not have that on roster (NOT saying we have to have that) but they should be able to see that they fill a potential need vs just being on a roster with kids who already bring same talents to table.

My bad, it was City Rocks AAU Alumni Baylee Teal that committed to Fordham, same team that Sam Bailey and Dolly Carins played with.
