Interesting, what would that do to people wanting to pursue Masters and PHD's out of state? My son and daughter went to school in NY state but both got further degrees out of state and now both are finally back here living in state again.
My daughter is a Marist alum and has given quite a bit back to Marist in the form of company sponsored grants. She also spent her first two years at a state school before transferring to Maris.
So I guess my kids would not have qualified for this program.
Although they both have made out very well and have all their student loans paid off.
Seems to me this should be structured the way they have student loans set up, so that you owe the state service after your education is finished, or must pay off the loans.
