We miss a FG. Defense needs a stop.

We pull it out. Needed a mIracle. It should never have come to it
This staff never gets a team to play lights out. That is why they never have won a big game.

Great finish, but never should have happened. But a win is a win.

Time to start thinking about potential replacements. Anyone on staff that would be considered. Any assistants on San Diego staff that may want to come here? I know, odd comment after a win, but this is a similar pattern in the good record years. Then the other years kind of suck. Just think a change is not unwarranted at this time.

I know, odd comment after a win, but this is a similar pattern in the good record years. Then the other years kind of suck. Just think a change is not unwarranted at this time. When it comes to college football, its 85% budget. Want Marist to have a dominant football team?, then convince David Yellen to spend more money. The coach is not the problem. He has been with the program for 25 years and has done very well within the constrains of the program. Unlike basketball that only has to fund a 12 player team (12 scholarships, 12 dorm rooms, 12 meal plans, 12 plane tickets to travel and a staff that is 1/3 the size of FB), football is dealing with over 100 players. Thats why Siena, Iona, Canisius, St. John's, Hofstra, St. Peter's, La Salle, Fairfield and too many to list others have dropped their programs....that and tile IX (not blaming title IX, I have daughters). I hate the way the coaches have to to hope that the stars align and the talent peaks in the same year to have success. We never reload. Its always rebuild. I wish another $2 million was available per year but until then we fix it with duct tape. The staff does the best it can and should be credited with a very high graduation rate. Other schools, other conferences have elected to spend more. These are the facts, my friends. So, while I wish that it was more, I appreciate what it is. BTW, this team has a few special players that are exciting to watch and next year they will be upperclassmen.

I agree and disagree with some of these points above but IMO this topic should be in its' own thread. We're currently 5-4 with remaining games against two traditionally solid PFL teams. Let's see how the staff/team perform. Go Foxes!!!!
