Men's Games
Monmouth over UCLA 74-71 in overtime on the road. Ranks up there as one of the best opening night wins for a MAAC team. Duke over Siena by 18. Really nice effort by the Saints. St. Peter's Freshman Antwan Portley scores 30 out of the career gate in a win against Brown. Canisius loses handily at Hofstra but McMillan scores 33 for the Griffs.
Women's Games
Lowlights abound. The only true bright spot was FF's win over LaSalle by 3 at home. What makes it more impressive is that they did it without star Kristin Schatzlein who sat out due to injury.
Was a bit surprised that Siena wasn't competitive against St. Bonaventure and that Iona lost to Stony Brook.
Manhattan, Rider and the Q, have yet to play.

AJ English scored a MAAC-record 46 points, including 13 three-pointers, as Iona beat Fairfield 101 - 77 tonight.

English and Iona come in for Marists first conference game. I GUESS it is better they are coming in off a good game and might overlook Marist instead of coming in angry after a bad game? How about that for half glass full thinking:)?
