This is why coaches get so annoyed with us as fans. Last week we blamed the Marist head coach for not having White as starting QB last year and this year after one good game. NOW, he does put him as starting QB and he throws 4 interceptions. We, the same people who complained about White not starting are now complaining we had so many turnovers. That is simply crap. Sorry.

If White is the most talented, lets give him time. Marist has done us a favor by continuing to have football, all the other MAAC schools abandoned it. lets trust the leaders who kept this program going.

I have been here since Thursday lol 25th.... Our Qb is gonna be fine our WR will be fine number 82 TE looked good.
Our RB needs to improve... The guy that hurdled the Jacksonville players had a couple of runs
But defense was terrible the play calling on 3rd and long sucked everytime. We rushed like 3 never blizt...Jacksonville QB had all day to throw or run.
The TO where not forced by D they where fumbled snaps

To be fair, 2 things 1) Are the Marist coaches allowed to offer same type of packages as many of these OOC teams like Georgetown that we lose to continually? I don't know the answer, BUT, if the answer is no, not on the coach. 2) I find it funny that you say this about the QB White, "Why don't we have any better options?", when literally days ago you were questioning the staff for not playing him last year and beginning of this year. One bad game does not mean he will stink forever. We all overreact like this sometimes about basketball, I think it is fair to point it out here.

I am aware that the staff is at a disadvantage when it comes to funding. I believe they do a fabulous job recruiting for the most part. Most of the bad losses over the years doesn't seem to be due to a lack of talent (QB lately being an exception). On the field at critical times in critical games we blow it and we use the $$$ excuse.

Sooo many avoidable mistakes on offense. The defense was okay, not as good as were against SHU. Other than that, I know I sound like a broken record, but a reason why some FCS programs, like a few in the Patriot League, thrive because they first look to their local JuCos. Doesn't cost as much $$$ as scouting nationally. Here in New York, we have six programs within a 3-4 hour radius of Marist; ASA, Erie, Globe Institute of Technology, Hudson Valley, Monroe College, and Nassau (a known JuCo powerhouse). And here in the northeast, we see the CAA, NEC, and PL take full advantage of these same schools in our backyard, but not us. Honestly, the sooner we start scouting JuCos for those big O-Liners, the less we expect to have ONE good, productive season every FOUR or FIVE years.

My concern is on the recruiting side. The staff has a very tough job, competing against scholly programs; etc. But for what Marist can offer a kid, I don't understand why we haven't hit Nassau CC or Lackawanna CC for some higher level OL. I think the staff is underselling the Marist experience. Why should a decent OL (or any decent player) go to University of Maryland, ride the bench for 3 years when they could be playing a Freshman, get a "package" that is reasonable and get a better education. Fede is the example . . . The second bolded statement is what I was told directly from a parent recruited by Marist. Player went to Gtown.

In listening to portions of the game, all I can say is that it was a sh%tshow for both teams. It was a competitive games because both teams made a ton of mistakes. There were 11 turnovers in the game. That said, a four pt loss isn't bad, as this is a Jacksonville team that is 3-0 (beat Delaware) and may go 11-0, if they can beat Dayton.
